Finally, after 13 years, I can marry my partner.

My state senator Grisanti, is one of the 2 repubs that switched. Definitely made sure to send him a letter letting him know my thoughts.

I also get bragging rights now over my wife who's from California. I teased her a lot after Prop 8, however awful I thought that vote was.

As a New Yorker, I must say, we're awesome.

adamgreeney: Mrtraveler01: Damn you subby. You stole my joke.

/Congrats to New York though
//Still holding his breath for MO to do the same before he dies

Good luck on that one. Too many people like my grandmother still live there. Outside KC, the bigotry is choking.

Hey, St. Louis can be quite progressive with all the universities there. But travel 10-20 miles out of the city and it's pretty much the same as being in the Ozarks. That and Columbia since it has Mizzou and all.

/lives in the suburbs of St. Louis

I saw Grisanti's 2 minutes and finally believed. Go New York!

Rubberband Girl: As soon as Ohio does the same, Hubby will perform the ceremonies. :fingers crossed:

At least 4 years of dark ages before that stands a chance. I'm hoping the current government doesn't try to go the other way and ban gays from existing in Ohio.

bravian: dysfunctional government

At least they managed to do ONE thing right :P

bravian: Now all you have to deal with is high taxes, over regulation, dysfunctional government, and a dozen other reasons living in NY sucks.

A lesbian friend that lives in Maine just texted me asking if she should move back. I wrote back, "I'd be happy if you did, but I wouldn't wish that on anyone."

And the roadside porno shops. You can't miss those with the 20 or so billboards advertising them beforehand.

Try Newburgh if you want that.

s1ugg0: bangmaid: styckx: And the worst headline gets lit..

came here to say this. I think there were some good ones...

I had "Fabulous Victory", I thought the MK reference would put me over the top.

Queensowntalia: At least they managed to do ONE thing right :P

You just have to go to an hour earlier when they were debating the stupid property tax cap and rent control bill to see how dysfunctional they were.

/still a good thing
//the marriage bill not the property tax cap

2011-06-24 10:52:07 PM

Queensowntalia: bravian: dysfunctional government

At least they managed to do ONE thing right :P

Yeah, a few hours before passing gay marriage, they passed a bill that would allow local school districts to borrow up to a BILLION dollars without voter approval. WTF NY?

TheManofPA: How is Broadway going to cover all this health care?

Its like $90 a ticket for a seat behind a column where you can only hear the muffled sounds from the stage if the actor is loud enough. Broadway does fine. Its run by jews, afterall. ;)

2011-06-24 10:53:52 PM
Good

To steal from Adam Corolla, there are five reasons why homosexuals should be allowed to marry:

1. They are citizens and they pay taxes
2. STFU
3. STFU
4. STFU
5. STFU

/good job NY

Only if you're looking for a gay marriage. If you just want to hook up with dogs and horses Ohio has your back.

2011-06-24 10:55:03 PM

FerneJohn: I remember reading an article when it passed in Iowa.

It never "passed" in Iowa. It was a court decision. If put to a vote of any kind it would fail overwhelmingly there.

2011-06-24 10:55:09 PM

make me some tea: Heh, they're not even talking about it on FoxNews.

uhhh, it is prominently featured on www.foxnews.com
