Magnetic polar shifts have occurred many times in Earth's history. It's happening again now to every planet in the solar system including Earth.

The magnetic field drives weather to a significant degree and when that field starts migrating superstorms start erupting.

Well isn't this a complete steaming pile of fail.

2011-02-04 3:34:24 PM
Others may go to war with each other.

Wouldn't the superstorms make that logistically problematic?

FTA: "Pole reversal may also be initiating new Ice Age - According to some geologists and scientists, we have left the last interglacial period behind us"

Does this mean that, in 20 years, Fox News will report that no climate scientists should be believed when it comes to climate change because everyone in 2011 thought that we were entering a new ice age?

Wait... I've seen this movie! The hot scientist chick with the big gazongas wearing a tank top predicted all this. No one believed her, because after all, she's just a woman. But she's right! The government ignored her and initiated a plan to fix everything with some super secret gizmo that they just HAPPENED to be working on that could have these types of effects. But, they just made things worse. Now her ex-husband/boyfriend who's also an ex-military hotshot pilot has to fly her up into the upper atmosphere, where they have to un-do everything the government did to instantly stop all the mega-storms and put the magnetic poles back where they belong. But the good news is, the hot scientist chick with the big gazongas and the tank top just got back together with her ex-husband/boyfriend. So, happy ending for all.

Wait! I forgot about the hot scientist chicks with the big gazongas and wearing a tank top grandfather! For whatever reason, he decided to go on a cross country road trip with the hot scientist chicks with the big gazongas and tank top little brother to prove something (what I'm not really sure about).

That movie has great slow motion shots, and plenty of explosions. It also has that sweet interacial dwarven homosexual couple. You have to love them.

The first evidence we have that the dangerous superstorm cycle has started is the devastating series of storms that pounded the UK during late 2010.

Actually, wouldn't the first evidence of the shifting of the magnetic pole be... I dunno... the shifting of the magnetic poles?
