fark, I could live off $750k over the next 10 years and not know what to do with all of it.
Dude, please go kill yourself.

Sounds like its time to wave Buh-bye to that attention whore husband. That website seems a lot like fark, but with the automatic hyper-critical judging and defensiveness of being a parent. Gah. fark you if you judge me by what kind of stroller I use, I don't care.

/actually, don't have a stroller. If the kid is too big to carry, they're big enough to walk.

2011-01-25 1:05:14 AM
That actually sounds like an awesome place to troll.

"I was thinking of entering my toddler in a beauty pageant. Should I make her wear pumps or platforms?"

Let me try to get things started...

Good!

It's about time that the broads who biatched for equality have to live like men have been living for ages!

You go, guy!

/good enough?

I'm just another poster chiming in that this isn't anything new, except the gender reversal.

CSB time... My wife's friend got into a relationship with someone who was cheating on his controlling and greedy wife. He gets a divorce and promptly takes a huge pay cut to be a teacher like he always wanted. The friend and guy get married, and have a kid. As soon as her FEMA time (12 weeks) are up, my wife's friend decides to be a stay-at-home mom, and the guy was forced to go back into the soul-sucking sales position he resented his first wife for forcing him to stay at.

I give them less than 5 years, if he's not already cheating on her.

Guys, gals; there's a lengthy article if you click on the link to the left of the headline.

This article could be called "reasons to stay the hell away from Washington DC."

2011-01-25 3:18:54 AM
Her response should have gone along the line of "Well, make sure you make it happen in such a way that it looks like an accident so the insurance will pay out"

And then at least once a week en-quire on how project "6 feet under" is going.

He will either, find a better job where he can equal or surpass the missus in income, kill himself, quit being an immature little twat-waffle and realize its a partnership not a competition.

2011-01-25 4:16:25 AM
I find it hard to believe that a company would pay that kind of money to a woman/guy who:

1. Was that daft in the head that she would stick around with a selfish glut who made self death threats.

2. Would post her salary and income on a retarded website.

Me thinks she is a troll.

2011-01-25 4:16:49 AM
Wait a minute, some people are being assholes on the internet? I do NOT believe it!

2011-01-25 4:22:37 AM
Let's go troll that site and ruin it from the inside. Who's with me?

2011-01-25 4:23:14 AM
Sounds like a pile of people who need to be neutered.

2011-01-25 4:26:12 AM
I find that the DCUM acronym is surprisingly fitting. These wives' husbands must be completely testosterone depleted.

/OK, that's all I got...but someone had to make a DCUM joke.

2011-01-25 4:31:06 AM
Damn, DCUM is like FARK for mommies.

The Ghost of Tom Ace: Let's go troll that site and ruin it from the inside. Who's with me?

It's already ruined. Have you read some of the sh*t those evil b*tches are posting?

2011-01-25 4:38:13 AM
Sounds like the Author has two choices:

* Move out of the DC area so you can raise you kids far far away from self-absorbed, petty rich snobs - OR:
* Grow a pair, and ignore the wealthy jerks, what they may think of your "cheepo" $200 stroller, and raise your children to understand the importance of charity, morality, and that even though money can buy a lot of things, it can't buy you class.

2011-01-25 4:42:03 AM
The real tragedy is that they will most likely not suffer the pains of their self-absorbed greed...others will.

2011-01-25 4:43:01 AM
So, the article says they have IT guys that make 300k? What? Most consultanct-worthy guys top out at around 200/hour, and that's only billable hours. Unless they are meaning C-level management, CIO/CTO. And CTO/CIOs are no longer "IT."

Nah. Just change your approach. D....CUM... could also be like D Nuts. Which might also just be D issue.

2011-01-25 4:51:47 AM
So it's fark with actual women?

2011-01-25 4:54:46 AM
I for one applaud the new heightened standards of the husbands of this country...or not. Won't someone please think of the hubbies?

1nsanilicious: 2. Would post her salary and income on a retarded website.

It is in very bad taste.

Indeed, I would never post my $650,000 a year salary. So tasteless!

Parents who are obsessed with parenting are, I think, the single worst thing to happen to my generation and after. Learn to f*cking let go.

650k? Don't worry, someday if you work hard you'll be promoted and finally make a livable wage.

Meh. It's still a Graco. The least expensive Mclaren gives you more yuppie mommy points than the most expensive Graco.

Ehh I could see it. One of our subcontractors works for himself and is only part time on the project (he has other projects he's working on). I'm guessing his bill rate is in the 200~400 range.

If he's charging even 30 hours a week he will come close to that figure and unfortunately his type is a dime a dozen in this area....

/Granted he doesn't have benefits, but at that salary range paying 200~300 month for health care is nothing

2011-01-25 5:18:01 AM
Also - forgot to add - anyone else read the acronym for DC Urban Mom's as D-CUM, or do I have my mind in the gutter?

Fark that I'm gassing up the Suburban and heading to DC.

2011-01-25 5:21:25 AM
With salaries around DC being that high, there's only one explanation...your federal tax dollars at play. Whether directly or indirectly profiting, that's probably where a lot of it comes from.

2011-01-25 5:21:37 AM

picturescrazy: 650k? Don't worry, someday if you work hard you'll be promoted and finally make a livable wage.

It's okay. We scrape by with that and my wife's $1.2M in income.

I'd quit my job, but then I'd have to let our live-in astrologist go.

2011-01-25 5:22:17 AM
So what?
Let hubby off himself.
No need to share the dough anymore, and the money saved can be spent on the children.

Won't someone think of the children?

welcome to our world ladies, you wanted equality, you got it. I think you are going to be disspointed when you figure out how not super great it is to have to deal with this type of crap

2011-01-25 5:27:18 AM
Still boggled by the whole "$750,000-a-year" thing. Who needs that kind of money??? Holy crap.

The guy is a scumbag. She should call his bluff.

2011-01-25 5:32:34 AM
Also, I don't get it. From my calculations, I could live easily on $1000 a month -- in fact, that would be quite comfortable and allow me to save up a bit.

$750,000 a year? I'm not sure what I'd do with it all besides a few pet projects.

/Then again, I'm not legally bound to a materialistic whore.

2011-01-25 5:33:47 AM
Jesus. Every now and then I think I want to have kids, and then I read about shiat like this. It makes me hug my abdomen and murmur to my eggs "Don't worry, babies. It's ok. Mama won't bring you into the world."

/ It's not a mercy kill if they never live, right?
// Right?!

These people and their spawn should be lined up, shot, their homes/belongings/organs sold, and the proceeds given to the poor.

As someone who used to work in the surround area (Bethesda and such) at a private all girls school I never ran directly into one of these types of parents. We all know they exist, but they aren't as prevalent as they are loud and attention whorey.
