This is going to be devastating to Victoria's Secret. Anyone who has their stock should sell NOW.

It won't be considered "big business" until they are able to have a place where girls can take thier clothes off and dance around for an audience.

The problem with nude cruises is the um.. age and girth of most folks who can afford cruises.

I'm tired of the whole naked thing. YOU FARKERS PUT ON YOUR CLOTHES!!!

Naw, I'm just kidding. Let it all hang out.

I give it a pass. I can't imagine something would be big business that involves telling some nude person in a polite voice, "Sorry, but I think you're sitting on my towel." Yuck.
2003-07-16 12:39:14 PM

I'd never have suspected it.

Did anyone else read that headline as "Naked people have big business"? Maybe it's just my new contacts, but that makes it sound really dirty. But also explains why they get naked.

Oh great, another thread where farkers get to opine that all nudists are fat, old, and ugly.

rp1973 (does that mean rest in peace 1973, have you been dead 30 years?):

I didn't say all nudist were fat, old and ugly. I said that about folks who take cruises. Also, never been on one, so I'm probably wrong.

Is there an explanation for this new interest in nudity?

Hawkins thinks one reason is that Americans are seeing more of it. She cites a recent Nike ad in which a streaker interrupts a soccer game wearing nothing but a scarf and a pair of shoes plus a digitalized blur at a strategic point in between.

She might also have mentioned nude scenes in TV's "Sex and the City" or the Dixie Chicks' non-attire on an April cover of "Entertainment Weekly," or that Richard Hatch, star of the first "Survivor" series, was an unclad lad. Examples abound.

To quote issue #48 of X-men Unlimited, "Why don't you just admit you don't have any more information and are just wildly guessing?"

I don't recall mentioning your name in my post. I was referring to the fact that it seems that whenever there is a thread about nudism, it gets filled with derogatory comments about the appearance of practicing nudists. Those comments are usually along the lines of "Eww...ugly naked people" or "Only people my grandmother's age do that" or the ever popular "When I think of a nude beach, I only picture people trying to push beached whales back into the ocean."

As a nudist, I consider myself not fat, not old, and not ugly. I guess I should start weighing in on the physical characteristics of video gamers and role playing game addicts more.
2003-07-17 12:06:30 AM
Considering most people are fat old or ugly, why should nudists be any different?
2003-07-17 12:01:48 PM
Dammit, naked people are born every day!!@! Something should be done!!!!
