He has a special toilet inside his rollercoaster wagon.

I should hope so.

sucks to be the next guy in line...
2003-07-14 03:53:08 PM
Legman: What they don't tell us is that his "special toilet" is the second corkscrew.
2003-07-14 03:57:26 PM
What would such a toilet look like? I'm guessing it's not a mason jar...

Here's how I hope this ends:

"after 6 straight days on the German roller coaster, a dazed and confused Mr. Rodriguez stepped off the coaster, said 'I need a hooker!' and then fell down, dead."
2003-07-14 03:59:39 PM
Ha. It's just an alias. And you all probably thought Mike was working diligently to get you your Fark back... naive fools ... bwahahahahhahah

"A U.S. lecturer has been riding a German rollercoaster for more than four days -- sleeping, eating and going to the toilet at speeds of up to 120 km/h (75 mph) in a bid to set a new world record."

Yes, Hans, this American may be crazy, but at least he's not a obnoxious fat slob like the other American tourist."

Wtf? 35 1/2 hours is a record? Must be a different type of record because we had a guy at Six Flags St. Louis hang out on a "The Boss" for the whole summer. Hell, I rode right behind the guy and he just seemed really bored.
2003-07-14 04:03:22 PM
NO THANK YOU. I spent the past 2 days at King's Island. I have Dain bramage FrUm aaLll the ridezz AftEr jjuuuusst 2 DayzZ.

What ever happened to the good ol' days when people tried to beat records such as "eating a bowl of tapeworms for breakfast each morning". People have no integrity these days. Harkening back to an earlier posted article, I wonder why no-one has of yet tried to beat the record for the most
times becoming a born-again virgin?
2003-07-14 04:04:44 PM
Is it just me or does getting 15 minute breaks every 8 hours and riding a different coaster every night pretty much defeat the purpose?

If you're going to have a record: 1. get on roller coaster. 2. ride. 3. get off roller coaster 4. end record breaking attempt.

This is stupid.
2003-07-14 04:07:51 PM
Beasty Actually it's the same guy. He has a bunch of roller coaster records.
2003-07-14 04:12:08 PM
modernhamlet makes a good point. I don't see why they don't just ride until they give up; None of that 15 minute break bullcrap.
2003-07-14 04:18:36 PM
Let me see if I can get the high-jumping record. How about if I'm allowed a fifteen-minute break for every foot of altitude.
2003-07-14 04:22:36 PM
Wow, I wish I could just waste all of my time riding roller coasters instead of working(using the word "working" loosely here). If anything he should be forced to ride "The Ninja". That can be a brutal coaster to ride despite its smaller size. One day the park was nearly empty so I never got off the coaster for about 25 rounds. My head was killing me for the rest of the day.

These roller coaster endurance things have gone from vaguely entertaining to mundane. There are people who have ridden roller coasters every day for months. Simply trying to incorporate incremental improvements such as a toilet to "break" the old record is just stupid. Put a rest to the whole thing, I say. Problem is, there is a group of lifeless people who fill the empty space in their lives with roller coasters, and who always provide the cranks to fill seats on these stunts. Riding a coaster 24/7 provides some sort of ultimate fantasy dream to these blighted souls.

And the rest breaks have to go. I mean, do you get a rest break when trying to establish the record for longest time holding your breath? Without the rest breaks it would be a REAL endurance contest, and I guarantee people wouldn't be riding for months like they currently do.

Good point, Beasty-Fella. How does this doofus support himself? Here's a live video stream so you can watch the "action."

Hello, Farkers! I'm a dork!

His "special bathroom" is a couple boxes of Depends that he keeps taped next to him. After he fills one up, he chucks it over the side at the media and grabs a new one.
2003-07-14 05:03:58 PM

Not only do you go to the same school as me, we both worked at Six Flags St Louis that summer. I rode right behind that guy too one time.
2003-07-14 05:07:27 PM
I agree, it's a bunch of crap when you get a 15 minute break 3 times a day and you are allowed to change to a different one to sleep in. It's not a record at all!!!!
2003-07-14 05:21:38 PM
Actually, spooborq I didn't work there, I was just one of thousands of visitors. That bastard had the front seat, which I always wanted to get, but NOooooo he's SO special. I wanted to clock him in the head with a nice blunt object.

Oooh, another UMR student eh? Do you post much on the Seek42 forums there? Almost time to return to the depths of "no woman's land". The pathetic thing is that I'm actually ready to go back...maybe I should just go shoot myself NOW and get it over with.
2003-07-14 05:27:33 PM
Yeah, I realized right after I posted that that you didn't actually say you worked there at all.

No, I never post on the Seek42 forums, I live off campus and it's too much of a hassle for me to set it up so that I can.
"No woman's land", yeah. But hey, I'm a girl. If you've got AIM and care, I go by spoobork.
2003-07-14 06:04:04 PM
Ooooh I made a friend, I feel special :-D Some of us wish we could live off campus, but dont have enough people that can go or have the cash. I feel so lame for nearly being a senior (by credits), yet still living in the Quad.

Rodriguez does coaster marathons every year. He did Expedition GeForce already last year, and The Boss (St. Louis) the year before that.

With the marathons he usually does, he gets breaks for naps and meals and stuff, and rides for a few months straight. This looks like non-stop without sleep. Different record.

Somebody better go call ralph....
2003-07-14 07:23:36 PM
Will he be standing up on The Raven?
2003-07-14 07:30:59 PM
Regardless of 15 minutes breaks or not (I say B.S. on them), how do people do this? I mean, every theme park I've been to has been packed, and there's no farking way that you could just "stay on" for another ride. Is this done after parks close, or (I assume) do the parks make special arrangements? Then my question would be, why? Publicity? If I were at a park and saw this guy never having to leave, I'd demand a few extra rides myself.
2003-07-14 09:00:52 PM
sure it may be fun, but when you think about it, it makes for a really boring "what i did on my summer vacation" essay

How soon before his Depends end up on eBay?
