Beef tallow? Looks like a potential suet.

Apparently, There's the beef.

it looks like fat floating on water, not near as disgusting as the sewage spill that happened a few days ago

Why would you keep 250,000 gallons of beef tallow?

Either use it for something (ew) or burn it as fuel.

You mean Houston smells better now?
I'd better get over there.

Great, here comes the beef production moratorium.

As a former Houston dweller, and with knowledge from my doctor that Houston is the "fattest city in the US" I have to ask, why not just invite Houstonians to wade into the water, and absorb all this fat directily into their thighs? Problem solved, no one would notice difference.

Given the number of birds that were wallowing in it (and presumably, chowing down on the unexpected banquet), this is a problem that'll probably clear itself up in no time....

Never underestimate the consumptive power of a flock of seagulls.

That is a sad loss of sweet, delicious tallow. I wish I could find some near my house.

I'm fairly certain they don't use that anymore because some Hindus and vegetarians found out, and not surprising to anyone except McDonald's, they had a problem with this.

2011-01-06 2:10:28 PM
That stuff would be good to make biodiesel. Or flavor up some Mickey D's french fries.

I demand to know how much of Jacob Sterns and Sons' beef tallow is in the Houston Ship Channel. Release the live stream NOW!

Just put a "Waffle House" sign at the entrance to the harbor and charge $15 for "all you can eat".

Great, now I have to guess the substitute. It can't be beef for Hindus, or pork for Jews and Muslims, so I'm going to go with placenta.

Just trying to help everyone stick to their diet.

It's used to make biodiesel. My company has a client in Houston that had a 30,000-gallon beef tallow spill a few years back... We were sure relieved to find out this one wasn't theirs.

We just need to wait for global warming to heat this water up, and we'll have millions of gallons of delicious, delicious beef soup!

Yes they should. They're still my favorite fast food french fry, but they taste nothing like they did when they used fat to fry them in.

We rule. Watched the entire season the last two days and I have to say that it was the slowest show I have ever watched. I am not surprised that it got the can.
