It's like living it all over again...

I was asleep when everything happened (I was woken up after the Pentagon hit) so this is very interesting to watch how things unfolded...

Bit disturbing, but worth watching for me.

Very interesting site. On that horrible day all I could do was get the information over the internet. Actually watching the live feed brings back the haunting feelings of that day.

thats wicked.
click on the clips from 9am, and fast forward to 2 mins 30 seconds into it. there all talkin like all calm "appears to be an accident at WTC..." then suddenly 20 seconds later "OMG OMG OMG!". I was looking for some hindenberg type reactions.

This is so eerie for me to see. I could spend the next 3 days on this site. I was camping at the time it happened. I only heard about it by word of mouth, around 1 pm of the day. Next day (Wed.) went in to town, got a paper, and was shocked. Still hadn't seen a TV or heard radio. That night, tuning in on the van radio and cruising the dial, which was end to end WTC coverage, opinion, talk, etc. Decided on Thurs to stop taking in news and finish my trip, which ended the following Sunday. Then I plugged back in and was hooked. Seeing this helped me understand what it was like as things happened, the confusion, fear, panic... and it brought back the feelings of the moment for me as well. I was reluctant to come back to the real world after having such an idyllic time away from cities and out in nature just relaxing. Things sure have changed in the world since that day, that moment.

It is like re-living the horror of the day!

The site doesn't work for me. I just get the message:

Checking whether you have accepted the Television Archive User Agreement...

and then nothing. It just sits there forever. I even tried making an account with them and still nothing :-(

I was on vacation out in rural Indiana that day. At the time of the events, I was sitting on the tailgate of my truck with a cup of coffee, just appreciating the sounds of the birds and bugs and being away from the work world. It wasn't till around 9:30am CT that I found out what was going on. The news made me sick to my stomach. I watched coverage on TV that day, but had camping plans for the rest of the week, so I didn't get back to news till the following Monday. The reality of the events really hit me the hardest the week after.

Qwerty2, check your cookie settings. If everything is working right it should send you to a rather long disclaimer/agreement page that you have to agree to before you can see any clips. It only asked me once.

Very interesting to look back on it. I was on air at a radio station when it happened, so was running in and out of the room as things happened. Almost eerie to watch the shows and commercials from directly before it, especially the news and idle chatter on GMA. Reminds me once again how completely blindsided this country was-- both when the first plane hit, when we thought it was an accident, and then again when we realized that someone was actually targetting America.

The site is crap! I've got it in my trusted sites zone in IE which has everthing enabled (cookies, Java, Javascript etc.) and have even enabled everthing in every other zone, and this site still doesn't work. I think they have gone a bit overboard with the security of this website which is what is causing my problems.
