He was just remodeling his house in Massachusetts, too. I know his contractor, and he said Maroney told him to "knock down dat wall, knock down dat wall, and knock down dat fargin' wall."

The patriots trade maroney, a very capable backup so they can start Fred Taylor who's 34 years old. Hilarious.

In keeping with Maroney's preferred means of travel, his flight to Denver flew back and forth over Vermont a few times before finally landing in Albany.

Ya, as a pats fan that confuses me, but I never understood the virulent hatred of Maroney. when he's healthy he's a useful player even if he wasn't worth a first round pick.

I guess I'll wait and see what happens with his roster spot.

I think you will be surprised if you look up the team rushing totals from last year.

They have BenJarvus Green-Ellis-Smith-Harper-Jones-McLongAssName or whatever as well, who's cheaper.

They don't exactly need a lot of depth or talent at the RB position the way their offense is constructed.

Great. Now I have a desire to watch the movie again. Thanks.

Off to put price tags on puppies.

Jarvis Green left in free agency
now it's just Ben Ellis.

I know they have a decent run game, they just never SEEM to run.

It's too bad the law firm had to cut staff, with this economy and all.

Actually a few yard more than All Day's Vikings.

I should admit that they got some easy yards because teams feared the pass.
More importantly they couldn't always get those critical must have yards when they needed them so I won't pretend they don't need to improve.

Wouldn't be the first time he went east to west.

2010-09-15 2:13:18 PM
He fumbled four times last year, including that time on the goal line near the end of the game against the Colts where they lost 35-34. The rest of the Patriots running backs only fumbled once.

He's a good back, he runs hard and never had fumble problems before last year. Whether or not he's better than Knowshown remains to be seen, but for a few late round draft choices it wasn't a bad move for Denver.

I would like to direct this to the distinguished members of the panel: You lousy corksuckers. You have violated my farging rights.
Dis somanumbatching country was founded so that the liberties of common patriotic citizens like me, could not be taken away by a bunch of fargin iceholes... like yourselves.

Considering how Denver's RBs always seem to excel, does this make Maroney fantasy relevent? Is he a better option than Moreno?

No, the Pats traded Maroney to get a decent draft pick realizing that they have Oakland's 2011 first rounder where they'll undoubtedly take a running back.

The Patriots traded the much-maligned, fifth-year running back to the Denver Broncos yesterday for a draft choice.

Not really an adjective you want to see attached to you.
