Because I submitted that link a couple of days ago and it went red, so whoever subbed this would have got the bad kitty message if he tried to submit the same link again.

HAHA!

Like any designers are still employed!

This must be an old item.

Not any more. The same link can be submitted twice now.

RockIsDead: Like any designers are still employed!

Car designers, clothes designers, graphic designers covers, package designers....yeah none of those people have jobs.

LOL! Holy Crap that was great. Bookmarked and fav'd.

+1 for the find.

Try not to be so bitter, I'm sure you'll find work soon.

You are the trolliest troll under the bridge, I think. It's impossible you can be this stupid in every single thread.

Just in case you really are, though... as a graphic designer, I can tell you that our field is doing about as well as any other in the recession, and better than many. We've taken our hit, but thanks largely to the web, there are still jobs for those of us that can adapt.

I just want it to say Lost.

LOST

That was the first link in years, years, that made me actually, in real life, laugh out loud.

Just finding this now? This is old. But very funny. Lots of the stuff on his site is great.

I just want to know how stupid you have to be to not realize that you could just tape a white strip of paper over the "reward" part of the design before you made photocopies.

2010-07-08 7:48:39 PM
You people are easily amused. A pretend conversation between two pretend self-important twatbags over a lost cat? Seriously? Are cats still the rage?

Going to buck the trend in the thread here: David Thorne (the designer) is an asshole.

Lady just lost her pet, was distraught and thought she could rely on a friend for a little help. Instead, she got this.

Yes indeed, an asshole.

About as stupid as you'd have to be not to be able to make your own poster in Word and tape the picture to it before photocopying?

Well since the linked website stole it from 27bslash6.com I'll go ahead and give the original author credit. His name is David Thorne and there's some really funny sh*t on his website. Missing Missy is great, but here's Party in Apartment 3 just for good measure.

His spider exchange made the rounds a while back too.

I also liked Simon's Pie Charts.

Apparently because his server sucks.

No, don't ask designers for favours. Ask them for favors. That way they don't think you're some stuck-up limey ponce.

2010-07-08 7:57:33 PM
Got a good laugh from that.. when friends want me to redo / repair their computers - for free - they always get a little surprise in the system as payment so I can hear them biatch when they find it.. like a busted laptop screen gets a screensaver I made of a busted screen (got my buddy, he called and cussed me for scaring him, THEN it got his wife 2 days later.. and he called and laughed to beat hell).

Always fun to mess with those who know.. well, less than others.

I nearly wet my pants the first time I saw this a few weeks ago when I saw the "Lost" poster a la the TV show. It was uphill from there, too X-D

What idiot can't make her won damned poster in Word? Sheesh. Like her cat is so special, she has to have it DESIGNED by a DESIGNER. She was a twat for asking him to drop everything he was doing and get it to her by 1.

Not that a secretary couldn't throw that together in a minute? Not her continued polite insistance, despite being mocked and called a slacker? Not her asking why he had changed the photo? Not the fact that, while funny, this is an obvious fake?
You "just want to know how stupid " she is not to modify the poster by hand.

Really?
You're kidding, right?

Fake or real, I loved that. I worked with people like that.
