Please. Game's over. The lights are out. The gym is closed. Put your thumb back in your mouth, pull up your diaper and go on home. It is over.

Wait, this just in. Dewey actually DID beat Truman. Whew.
2001-10-04 12:09:26 AM
This is obvious? If it has said Gore lost it would of been obvious considering that Gore never was ahead despite all the counts, recounts, extra recounts, counts after the election, etc, etc.

Here's the Miami Herald from April 4, 2001

"What would have happened if the U.S. Supreme Court had not halted the sweeping recount of undervotes -- ballots without presidential votes detected by counting machines -- ordered by the Florida Supreme Court on Dec. 8, a month after the November election?

The answer: under almost all scenarios, Bush still would have won"

2001-10-04 12:15:59 AM
If Gore won, then why did every single one of the 2347823784827342398 recounts come out with Dubya on top?
2001-10-04 12:18:35 AM
hmmm should we vote for vanilla ice cream or vanilla ice cream.

gimme some variety.
put some other parties in the debates im tired of this democrat republican shiat
2001-10-04 12:23:22 AM
Can I hand any of you commies a kleenex?

Us conservatives want to help you overcome your grieving of the rejection of Al Gore by the people of America.
2001-10-04 12:26:34 AM
Because the media is lying to you.

That's right, the media, who brought you Watergate, Iran-contra, My Lai, Three Mile Island and the fact that Rush Limbaugh is fat, is lying to you.

It's all part of the VRWC, the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy.
2001-10-04 12:29:27 AM
Jesus H Christ, they counted and recounted, and I am sorry but Al Snore lost, granted only by like 60 votes, but that assumes all the chads and crap go to Gore. I think this is just a pretty damn lame story, I mean I would rather read about the cleavage on crossdressers, least that is educational.
2001-10-04 12:30:12 AM
people are still going on about this? talk about living in the past.
2001-10-04 12:36:10 AM
Did you know that if you beat a dead horse long enough it gets up and runs again?
2001-10-04 12:36:45 AM
Just by reading the first paragraph I can already tell that this entire article is worthless:

"According to a source whose previous information has proven to be accurate ..."

Screw the paragraph, just use that. If you're going to document something, come right out and say who or what it was. Just because someone was right earlier does not automatically mean that they'll be correct every following time.
2001-10-04 12:38:29 AM
oh boy->.bobo... nobody disagreed with you here. see, you just make noise w/out content...schlong
2001-10-04 12:44:19 AM
It's all moot.

Did we not just hear Gore say "...[Bush] is my president..."?

Yep. Time to move on.
2001-10-04 12:47:10 AM
Hey guys it on the INTERNET so it MUST BE TRUE!.
2001-10-04 12:47:21 AM
People are not going to drop this one because emotions were running way to high. And there are still a number of people out there who feel there was something shady going on.

And who knows there may have been. On both sides. I would not at all be surprised. The only thing I care about is that if there was... I want the people who did it... all the people who did it, to hang.
2001-10-04 12:48:44 AM
I still think we would have been better off with gore. Atleast the man actually studied in school. I don't care if my president is boring or not. Just as long as he gets the job done. That goes for getting a blow job or not.

Fark. If Gore was president atleast we wouldn't be pumping billions into a missile defence program that doesn't work.

Blah blah. Say what you want I believe he would have been a far superior president.
2001-10-04 12:51:46 AM
"Some Guy"...Yep, I always get reliable news from the SomeGuy Network...

"Media covering up Snore victory"....that's about as plausible as Madonna becoming celebate. Aside from the abundant facts/results/ad nauseum we've had for months, there's also the small matter of this guy's right-wing conspirators in the "media" deliberately calling the election (after being warned multiple times by the state not to do so) while the CST panhandle was still trying to vote, costing Bush an estimated 10,000 votes in the final outcome. Yes, they should have voted anyway, but that's never what happens, and the networks knew it.

Anybody got a wav file of "Get Over It"? This clown needs to hear it about a hundred times.
2001-10-04 12:55:30 AM
Isn't it hilarious how when the media supposedly suppresses a pro-conservative story, it's "LEFT WING MEDIA IS SATAN! THEY'RE COVERING UP!"... and yet when the media supposedly suppresses a pro-liberal story, the conservatives are super quick to simply ignore it and claim it "can't possibly" be true.

Guess what people... this story IS true. You don't have to believe it, but that doesn't change its truth. Now... does it "mean" anything? Nope. Nothing more than a right to biatch, and hopefully some election reform in Florida (re: machines, counting policies, etc). But obviously, Bush is President and he currently has a little less than 3 and a half years left. I hope he enjoys it, because it won't be extended.

Oh, and Bobo555, "rejection of Al Gore by the American people?" Need I truly remind you of the outcome of the popular vote? Bush may be President... but the fact remains that more citizens of this great nation voted for his opponent.
2001-10-04 12:56:17 AM
As bad as it was for those of us who had to live through it all, imagine how it will be for those who will have to learn about it in school. This election will be argued about for many years after most of us are long gone.
2001-10-04 12:56:48 AM
Next thing you know, Ralph Nader'll be asking for a recount.
2001-10-04 01:07:37 AM
for those of you wondering why this is an issue, have you ever heard of "impropriety or the appearance of impropriety"? the whole florida thing stank to high heaven. everyone overseeing the election was working for the brother of one of the candidates. and wasn't the main person in charge of the election oversight dealie in florida working on gw's campaign? i mean, come on. you can't expect people to ignore stuff like that.

also, people who still can't get over the fact that clinton got a blow job and didn't get impeached shouldn't be telling people to get over this.

for the record, i think it was over when gore conceded. in my mind, you can't concede and then just go, "oh, wait. no, i'm back in!"
2001-10-04 01:10:38 AM
Hmmmm... well maybe Gore is just sitting back saying, "I'm sure glad that WTC thing didn't happen on MY watch."

I don't think Bush realized what he signed up for - kinda reminds of that SNL skit where the White House is burning and the country is collapsing and all Will Ferrel (as Bush) can say is "This is hard! I didn't think it would be so hard!"
2001-10-04 01:15:42 AM
Recounts don't matter because they were unconstitutional, you have to obey the laws on the books at the time of the vote, and the laws said you have five days after the vote is over to complete a recount
2001-10-04 01:25:01 AM
Getting a blowjob isn't a crime.Lying in civil court about it is.Clinton shoudv'e been impeached,the perv!
2001-10-04 01:27:01 AM
blah, blah, blah....blah!!

everything here has been said 69,000,000,000,000,000,000,00,00,000,000,000,000 times, just like the farking it makes a damn difference!!

2001-10-04 01:27:31 AM
yes, I know I missed two zeros...get over it
2001-10-04 01:27:32 AM
Speaking of appearance of impropriety. Katerine Harris is running for congress tell me that is not an ethic comittee review waiting to happen.

If I was in her shoes at the time of that whole debacle I would have chosen a neutral party to take over for me in over seeing the recounting of the ballots.

2001-10-04 01:28:11 AM
also, people who still can't get over the fact that clinton got a blow job and didn't get impeached shouldn't be telling people to get over this.

Some idiot is on PI right now complaining about the election.
The host said 'oh, grow up... that is so September 10th'

Your comments would have been taken much more seriously without the last two words.
2001-10-04 01:37:17 AM
If Al Gore would have been president during the WTC attack he would have put this country in a lock box! No more terrorism!
2001-10-04 01:39:20 AM
Thank God for the electoral college. It is the only reason the masses of idiots living in urban centers didn't choose the Pres. The red areas of the map are sick of the PC liberal bullshiat coming from the elitist socialist traitors of the Constitution.

If Gore was pres., he would be holding meetings with the Sierra Club to make sure we wouldn't hurt any dungeatinggnatfarkers during the bombing! I'm sure he would also use environmentally friendly recycled plastic bullets, too!

Do not Misunderestimate the CIA
Do not Misunderestimate the will of the American People
Do not Misunderestimate America's ability to win this war on terrorism.

lets look at our source, shall we?

According to a source whose previous information has proven to be accurate.

"When you want to believe something bad enough, you will no matter the circumstances"
2001-10-04 02:03:20 AM
Anyone notice that the site describes itself as a "polital humor" site?
2001-10-04 02:04:04 AM
Just so you know JimJones, Clinton WAS impeached, just not removed from office. He didn't receive anywhere near the required number of votes to give him the boot. And I agree with whoever (im too tired to scroll back up) said that the election was over when Gore conceded. He quit. Game over. But let's all face one thing: If EITHER Bush or Gore won the election, it would have been branded shady and illegitimate by the other side and no doubt had Gore won, we'd see this same article with roles reversed. Have a nice day, I have a Toluene Disproportionation project to work on for Friday. :-)

ok... that snickers advertisement needs to add a doll that says "'S'elected President" (You know the advert, the one where the bobblehead dolls say all those annoying phrases and people stomp the out of them)
2001-10-04 02:06:36 AM
Hey! I got a great idea!

Let's all go to another thread and post funny things about Domo-Kun and boobies and weiners and funny rice'd out cars and beer. Lots and lots of beer.

It'll be fun!
2001-10-04 02:06:46 AM
Pheh. I figure Bush is the legitimate president. Every recount showed Bush as the winner. I also figure their was a lot of shady happenings going on in that recount. I would assume that when every recount arrives at a different number, each more in favor of one candidate than the last, that some chicanery is afoot.
And it's my opinion that Bush was the better candidate. It was my impression of Gore that he was one slimey motherfarker. That everything he did and said was an act to get me to vote him into office. Bush seemed to be the more honest candidate. And I figure he's doing an okay job so far. He seems to perform pretty well under crisises, such as when that Chinese fighter jet rammed that spyplane, and the recent WTC attack. I'm quite pleased with his performance so far. Though I would have still preferred Browne, McCain, or Nader.
2001-10-04 02:11:07 AM
I did a google search on 'misunderestimate dictionary' it isn't in their, but there are references to others using the word (not related to Bush's use)

Suicide... Brown & Mccain mebbe, Nader... no way (considering what is going on now).
2001-10-04 02:12:11 AM
Jeez...everyones so serious,Im just really drunk
2001-10-04 02:14:45 AM

2001-10-04 02:18:49 AM
LOL! Poooorrrr al BORE! Lol! you lost SUCKA!!!
2001-10-04 02:18:55 AM
true, suicideboy. although i got the impression that bush's honesty stemmed more from the fact that he just isn't mentally up to coming up with lies. what can i say? i voted for nader. i still think bush is a moron, but his administration hasn't fawked up anything gore's wouldn't have. (environment, budget, etc.)

then again, maybe he acted extra dumb during the election, figuring he's not going to change a lot of peoples' minds anyway, and this way, when he takes office, he'll exceed his detractors' expectations dramatically. i have to say, i dislike him less than i did back then.
2001-10-04 02:21:19 AM
DAMN , 43 % , beautiful ass !
2001-10-04 02:22:38 AM
meatschool: not to sound egocentric, but is your username supposed to be some sort of mockery of mine? and how come i've never noticed you posting before, despite the fact that you have a relatively old account number?
2001-10-04 02:27:09 AM
aw shucks.
2001-10-04 02:28:28 AM
N word, what are you talking about???? It's the S word. Socialist. Who wants to shut down the West? The liberal elite living in NYC, SF, Mass, et al. Who fights so hard to take away our rights? Have you ever read Albore's book? What a total crock of absolute unsubstantiated bullshiat! Race has nothing to do with it!
2001-10-04 02:31:25 AM
Speaking of Al Gore. It's nice to see he grew a beard. I was beginning to wonder if he actually HAD any testosterone.
Now all he needs is a Pendleton Flannel shirt and a Volvo and he would fit right in with the other tree hugging feel-gooders down at Starbucks.
