The text of the article itself is rather poorly written.

Although I did learn that those explosions are called "Plinean Events", and that Obama is somehow the cause of them.

With as much power as he has to change things far away and beyond the realm of the possible- he will either save the planet or destroy it. Either way we dont need to worry about it any more.
