Reaching out to another human being in need is truly wonderful.

"It made a lot of people, I think, realize that the people on the other end of those names are real people," Kalish said.

Amen to that.

We won't make it a habit.

From this moment forth, no farkers are allowed to die without permission. Farkers who die without permission will be in a world of shiat.

2003-05-07 06:48:34 PM
cool!

2003-05-07 06:49:09 PM
It would be wise to add a profile page for him...or at least change that 404. :-X

2003-05-07 06:49:52 PM
Very nice. One is glad.

2003-05-07 06:50:09 PM
It's nice to think that something good can come out of so awful an occurance.

2003-05-07 06:50:20 PM
I found this article extremely difficult to...

Ah, never mind. Good work all.

2003-05-07 06:50:35 PM
Dbloom: I thought that said x-) for a second.

2003-05-07 06:50:59 PM
anybody else get tired of the fark self importance attitude?

2003-05-07 06:51:01 PM
I agree with Minkey. At least something good came out of fark. Once.

RIP Kilpo4

Some of these people are some of the meanest people you'll ever meet, just you know, what they type is just awful.

Some?

that gave me chills just reading this. very cool.

2003-05-07 06:51:50 PM
It's good to know that, despite the griping about P-shop categories, lack of boobies/weiners, and endless lib/con flamewars, when push comes to shove, we're all in this together. Keep up the good work, everybody.

2003-05-07 06:51:52 PM
Its_just...

"One"?

city of lost children?

2003-05-07 06:52:04 PM
It would be cool of Drew/Fark to 'retire' his number and keep his profile alive.

2003-05-07 06:52:23 PM
We aren't as bad as we seem to be....
Thank God

""Some of these people are some of the meanest people you'll ever meet, just you know, what they type is just awful. But also they're funny -- some of them are rude, some of them are funny," Cliff's friend Ari Kalish said."

That's unfortunate. A year and a half ago that probably would have read-

"Some of these people are some of the funniest people you'll ever meet, just you know, what they type is just hilarious. But also they can be rude -- some of them are rude, some of them are funny, but mostly funny," Cliff's friend Ari Kalish (wished he could have) said.

What a great thing. Anyone who caps on this should be banned from the site. Nice to see something good coming from this.

2003-05-07 06:53:34 PM
let's give ourselves a big pat on the back, guys.

We did good.

I'm just a brain floating in a jar, but this is still cool.

2003-05-07 06:56:03 PM
I don't think I was around for it, but that's awesome.

2003-05-07 06:56:09 PM

Hemphrey: Fark is already farked.

2003-05-07 06:56:46 PM
I agree with Dbloom. We have done so much in the name of him that I think we really should keep his profile active.

2003-05-07 06:56:59 PM
Pretty cool.

How did Fark find out he died?

2003-05-07 06:57:01 PM
Behold, the power of Fark!

gotta love this place. you really do.

2003-05-07 06:57:09 PM
I love you guys!
Give me a hug.

2003-05-07 06:57:59 PM
At the end of the day, somebody should send his folks this page, too. Let 'em know it wasn't just a one-time gig.....

2003-05-07 07:00:28 PM
Cool!

2003-05-07 07:00:45 PM
I bet the mods are working overtime on this thread.

2003-05-07 07:01:06 PM
Cheers to Fark.com

thanks Drew

This is a nice story but it makes me kinda weary about hanging here so much. I don't like it when people I know die, even if I only know them through a computer screen. The world just got a lot bigger and a lot smaller at the same time.

2003-05-07 07:01:35 PM
Thats Great!!

2003-05-07 07:02:06 PM
Imagine the full potential power of the Fark community to do good in this world. That thought makes me smile.

2003-05-07 07:02:26 PM
Amidst all the cliches, desperate cries for attention, downright perverted sexuality and meanness, its good to see the shine when our users band together to do something nice.

2003-05-07 07:02:44 PM
i think we all did good on this one. congrats to all the farkers out there.

2003-05-07 07:03:27 PM
Yes folks, because here at Fark.com, we care. When we deem it necessary.

2003-05-07 07:04:47 PM
The interweb makes me rude. I'm normally just mean.

2003-05-07 07:04:54 PM
How nice of him to give Fark props.

Be well, Cliff's dad.

2003-05-07 07:05:04 PM
crappily written article, but noble subject.
