Nice. I can walk to about 50 pizza shops, a gun store and 1.5* strip clubs. Life is good.

*.5 is for skanky crackheads and biker-wannabe scum

i know a couple dozen pizza places around here, but can only think of one place that sells gun. i like that ratio

2010-04-13 05:25:49 PM
but what is the ratio of GOOD pizza to all that though

2010-04-13 05:39:24 PM
That is a very important omission!

Subby FAIL.

Map shows ratio of SEARCH TERMS in user-generated Google Maps to area.

Wondered why Portland wasn't a lot more yellow. Last I checked it had one of the highest strip-club-per-capita ratios.

/Reading is hard.

Dead for Tax Reasons: but what is the ratio of GOOD pizza to all that though

There is no such thing as good pizza, according to the internet. No matter how good you think a pizza place may be, it's actually trash compared to an even more obscure joint somewhere in the Village.

How would that pizza joint down the street that has the strippers selling guns figure into the mix?

or it could be just some italian guys stripping guns, I gets confused from the Thunderbird

I find it odd that Hawai'i is completely gun.

2010-04-13 07:07:30 PM
No surprise. My region has almost no strip clubs (no yellow even appears on that map in my locale), few pizza places, but a lot of guns.

2010-04-13 07:09:15 PM
I'm in a solid red area

*burps*

Pizza shops + strip clubs - gun shops = Providence, RI. The strip clubs in Boston are really lame. $10 for a bottle of beer. A short road trip to Providence and you'll see some of the cutest girls to ever swivel for a dollar bill.

yeah, I'm in L.A. and there isn't any yellow here either. But, as everyone who has listened to Girls, Girls, Girls knows, we have a strip club or two in the area.

2010-04-13 07:11:55 PM
There seem to be a place in southern Nevada that has a lot of yellow. I've asked a bunch of people about that area, but no one is talking.

Can't blame them. I'd be pretty eager to shoot somebody if all the available pizza was covered in pineapple too.

Better dead than red.

FTA: "A red circle indicates more references to pizza than guns or churches."

I like that the author and I agree that strip clubs are a type of church.

When I look at that map, I don't see a lo t of red dots and yellow dots. All I see is Orange Dots. God Bless America. God Bless Strippers. God Bless Las Vegas and shady state border towns that host strip clubs to service people when Red States have stupid laws.

Ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country. I believe that this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal, before this decade is out, of turning this map yellow and returning safety to the Earth.

/ safety from guns
// safety from bad pizza
/// Apologies to JFK

The strip club color in the Tampa area should be a lot brighter.

2010-04-13 07:28:33 PM
Wtf Hawaii?

2010-04-13 07:29:08 PM
Only one county/area in Indiana is yellow (strippers) and it seems to be in the general location of either Whitley county or Wabash county. Rest of the state is predominantly red (pizza) with some green here and there (guns), which those 2 aren't surprising. I'd like to find out where exactly that one yellow spot is and see, just to uhh, you know, make sure its legit, that there are more stippers than pizza and guns there.

Dont judge, it's to protect our children....

2010-04-13 07:31:12 PM
Not surprised that Vegas is mostly strip clubs, but which area in town is "More Pizza." I guess Henderson, they don't really have much in the way of strip clubs.

2010-04-13 07:36:42 PM
It's all strip clubs and gun stores in Tampa.

The "pizza" listings they pulled for this map are all chain.

Speaking for Dallas, the reason the strip club ratio is low on the map is we KNOW where the strip clubs are. Why would we need Google?

Damnit, stop that. I'm trying to pretend that girls like that don't exist in the real world.

So how come Hawaii doesn't have a reputation for being a bunch of gun nuts?

Same here in Austin. The basic ones have not moved in my 21 years here.

I call shenanigans on this map. Not a single dot for strip clubs in Portland? Total garbage data.

Yeah, see, back when I lived in the islands I always went to Rock-Za and Femme-Nu to buy my guns.

I love all the gun shops along the California-Nevada border.

My city has a nice mix of guns and pizza.

/don't do strip shows, I never understood the point.

2010-04-13 07:56:35 PM
Mostly pizza around here, no surprise. Lots of guns in Stone and Amite Counties, Plaquemines Parish and around Bayou La Batre in Alabama, again no surprise. No strip clubs nearby, guess they don't count Bourbon Street; clusters around Jackson and Natchez, notorious. Gonna have to check out those little yellow dots near Oldenburg, MS and Wilmer, AL. Think I know what the yellow dot in the southwest corner of Wilkinson county is; it's usually the first destination of inmates newly released from Angola.
