It's a wool knit. And the look on his face says he wish he'd worn a jersey blend tee shirt. And a hat. You don't see that wool pattern anymore. And since you mentioned goggles or is it googles - they're totally not modern era wrap-arounds. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Oh that is nice! I love stuff like that. Always fun to see old dance stuff and see just how crazy some of it was. And to realize that in a lot of the pics and old clips, these aren't professional dancers, just people who'd go out dancing. Also fun to see the clothes and such from different times. The later being somewhat relevant to my interests.

Obviously the guy was in the museum and saw this photo of himself in the crowd. And he's all like 'how the hell did I get there? What was so important?'. So he built a time machine to take him there, that day, to see what the deal was. Thus, creating the picture.

I assume that you guys are just having some fun, and don't really believe that he was a time traveler, but in case I'm wrong:

Don't you think that if his clothing was that outlandish for the time, it would have been noticed at the time, and his cover would have been blown, and he would have been "outed" as a time traveler in 1941? A real time traveler would make sure to wear clothing from the period he was visiting.

serial_crusher:

Those weren't time travelers, moran. they based their culture off of historical documents from Earth.

[Na'kuhl Pic]
These guys, however, were time traveling Nazis from Star Trek

Pshaw. For that to be the case, there would have to have been a Star Trek series that actually showed the Na'kuhl. There was no such series.

/Or at least there won't have been once I get back from a visit to the Berman and Braga households of the 20th century.

//I admit that there were four seasons of the "Jolene Blalock in a Body Stocking Show," which would have been quite good, if other actors had stopped getting in the way.

Primer is pretty damned good for a $7000 movie about time travel.

Actually, it's pretty crap for $7000. No amount of money would save a crap movie based on a crappy script. Ask James Cameron.

I thought, for novice filmmakers, they had some decent ideas even if it wasn't 100% great.

I will accept a somewhat crappy movie made for $7000.
I will not accept a completely crappy movie made for $500 million, which is why James Cameron must be tarred, feathered and beaten to a pulp in the public square, then be forced to write a check to each person who paid hard-earned money to see Avatard:

dahmers love zombie: Don't you hear my call
Though I'm many years away
Don't you hear me calling you...

Write your letters in the sand
For the day I take your hand
In the land that our grandchildren knewAdolfOliverPanties: However, the old man and lady next to the time traveler have the same or similar lighting on them as our ersatz epoch sojourner, indicating that something out of frame is casting a shadow on some of the crowd.

If you were to remove the sunglasses and add a big mop of long curly hair to the time traveler, you would see that it is none other than a young Brian May, guitarist from Queen and Doctor of Astrophysics.

Dude built his own guitars from scratch. Is there any doubt he built a time machine as well, probably out of bits of an old fireplace, a motorcycle saddlebag, some pearl buttons and a knitting needle?

In the year of '39
A simple year, the volunteers
In the days when the lands were few
Here the ships sailed out,
'nto the blue and sunny morn'
Sweetest sight ever seen.

And the night followed day
And the storytellers say
That the score brave souls inside
Though many a'lonely day
Sailed across the milky seas
Ne'er looked back, never feared
Never cried.

(Chorus 1)
Don't you hear my call
Though you're many years away
Don't you hear me callin' you

Write your letters in the sand
For the day I take your hand
In the land that our grandchildren knew

(Verse 2)
In the year of '39
Came a ship in from the blue
The volunteers came home that day

And they bring good news
Of a world so newly born
Though their hearts so heavily weigh

For the earth is old and grey
Little darlin', we'll away
But my love, this cannot be

Oh so many years are gone
Though I'm older but a year
Your mother's eyes, from your eyes,
Cry to me.

(Sing Chorus 1)

Don't you hear my call
Though you're many years away
Don't you hear me callin' you

All your letters in the sand
Cannot heal me like your hand

For my life
Still ahead
Pity me.

Good call on that one!

It took me a long time to realize what he was talking about in this damn song. ;)

I read through your brief analysis.

Not only are you correct, I may have to nominate you for the Nobel.

Is it not possible this is not only, not photoshopped, but this is just a guy who dressed like a hipster in 1941. After all, a time traveller would have a modern camera, not that old-timey crap.

Also, the dude has ears that stick WAY out from the sides of his head. That's where his ear shadow comes from. Geez... simplest solution, occam's razor and all that.
