I believe we have just stumbled upon the missing link between forum bots, popup ads, and newsfeed websites.

They have created an automatic newsfeed grabber that also grabs a JPG from a word in the headline, so it looks like they did something other than just steal the newsfeed from somewhere else. And it works like a successful popup ad because it either appears convincing, amusing, or get linked into another newsfeed website generating ad revenue from traffic.
