you're survey is wack dude: you can answer most of those questions if you dont have a credit card... so if you click "no" for the first question the survey wont submit

oh yeah .. boobies

On campus here... the cell phone ads are starting to outnumber the credit card ads. It's convenient always having 20 ads after each purchase.

Thanks for filling this out farkers. You really saved my ass. I'm such a lazy bum procrastinator. I fixed a few small things with the survey, but really thanks alot.

Is your survey on how long it takes to Fark a site?
2001-09-23 11:34:18 AM
How's the number of surveyed looking? I can take it a few more times with different answers if you tell me what you're looking for. ;)

Thank god i'm a philosophy major. Not only can I pull term papers out of my ass, but that's par for the course.

i'd take it, but i'm not a college student. i could pretend to be, though...

I use a debit card for all of my purchases. It has a credit card number I use when you gotta use a credit card (online purchases, restaurants) but its not credit.

I don't see a problem with the credit card companies on campus giving away t-shirts. I saw a story on this before on Primetime or some show and it made me so mad... If you are stupid enough to sign up for a credit card you know you arent responsible to use just to get a ugly ass free shirt, its your own damn fault you are so stupid. I was never influenced by the free stuff they give away on campus. It's not the school's fault at all. I think they should continue to allow them on campus. It's weeding out the stupid ass people that will do anything for something free. They shouldn't be in college anyhow. It's like that story of that girl at UAB that screwed all the football players. It's not the schools fault. It's not the parents fault. Its your own damn fault

most of the complaints of this practice that i've seen focus on the fact that young adults who aren't responsible enough to use them don't know they're not responsible enough to use them until after they're in debt. on all those tables set up in the student union here i never saw any information offered about managing your finances and avoiding debt. sure the material is available, but not shoved in your face. and it's not so much the free material that attracts college students (although it might sway your opinion from one company to the next) rather it's the initial prospect of one's first credit card.

Due Monday? Jeez man what did you wait so long for :)?

ATM's are great. I just put my debit card in and get free money.

Wow almost 220 responses. This is great. I really need to step it up a little or this college thing is going to bite me in the ass. Hard work often pays of tomorrow, but laziness always pays of today.

I use a debit card which I never use online or hand off to a waiter at a restaurant (no fraud protection) but it works in any atm so I always have cash on me for necessary transactions. No interest payments ever.

As for free stuff, just the other day they were giving away those Spring Break Uncensored videos you see on tv in the middle of the night, and I almost lost control.

Well, I took it, but I don't have a card so I dunno if it helped you. Good luck with the report, don't stay up too late workin' on it.

I have no sympathy for people in college who get themselves into debt unless their paying their way through. People whou SHOULD be responsible for themselves rarely are in college

I've got an A+ credit rating and a platinum card because I know how to use them.

I took your survey, but I own one of those bank check cards. It acts the same as a credit card, but I can't ever go into credit debt because of using it, and I don't get a credit history for using it. : /

I hope that didn't hurt.

The most we have are cell phone ads, and "roommate wanted" posters, along with books and cars.

On certain days we have regulated stuff, people come on campus, set up a table and pimp their wares. Wells Fargo, Glendale Federal and stuff like that. But they don't offer a credit card, they just offer pens, slinkies, flashlights, and now mini basketball hoops for your door, with a ball, if you'll only sign up for an account with them.

Every year the little crappy things they have to offer are getting more expensive, of course that may just be an illusion.
I'm holding out for when they offer toasters.

Hmmm...I no longer have any open credit card accounts, but I sometimes run into trouble because it's hard to find a rental car company that will take a check card.

A large percentage of my credit card debt actually came from a parent using them while I was in college. Car repairs, new tires, magazine subscriptions...all kinds of stuff. I was told don't worry, I will make the payments... well it was the minimum payment, and not always on time. I graduated with a ton of credit card debt and some bad marks on my credit history. Due to the late payments, interest charges soared. Thanks. Now here I am several years later still trying to pay off those credit card charges on top of student loans, a mortgage, kids, etc. I even eloped because there wasn't enough money for a wedding anyway.

Not all the abuse comes from irresponsible students.

In related news, I have an informative speech about eggplants due on Wednesday-- can any farkers help me out and write it, then come over to my school and do it for me, while i sit in the back seat eating ice cream? Just checking.

P.S. Just in case there was any confusion, I will be the only one eating ice cream. So that's cleared up.

Jonny_ill: but you're d/m'ing in english... now there's a worthless major :P...

Batmn42: eggplants? what the fark is that!?!? I'd just go into class on wednesday and give my teacher a swift kick in the groin and say "EGGPLANTS?? WHAT THE fark WERE YOU THINKING?"
2001-09-23 10:08:07 PM
Oh, and then eat the ice cream.

Shouldn't have waited until the last minute...oh wait, you're a college student. Nevermind.
