I think...
2003-03-10 05:32:02 PM
The image of a live action PacMan is the stuff of nightmares.

Fnord, drink a glass of bleach, you bedwetter.
2003-03-10 07:20:53 PM
Are they gonna use CGI, or just slather up John Goodman naked in yellow grease paint?

That just about sums up the sentiment and the stupidity all on one non-word.

slather up John Goodman naked in yellow grease paint?

Not even the anti-nausea medication I'm on can keep me from hurling after that visual....

After 3 days of being away from a computer, I catch up on Fark. Didn't seem to miss much. The train photoshop was a little interesting.

A friend made up a new word for lesbians, - vaginarian - now that is funny
2003-03-10 07:27:03 PM
I heard about this one already actually -- it's a true story, a "Where are they now?" kind of deal ... Pac Man and Ms. Pac Man are long-since divorced, but custody battles keep them just close enough to make for a non-stop thrill-ride of a story about domestic violence and alcohol abuse. I give it 4 stars without even seeing it

A man.

A yellow man.

A round yellow man. Trapped. Persued. Haunted. Hunted.

Jim Belushi is....PacMan.

This time it's personal.

Coming in September 2003. See for details.

2003-03-10 07:28:03 PM
Spiffy? I think that's the worst idea I've ever heard. Anyone remember the cartoon from late 80's? Yeah, it was okay... when I was 10, but come on... This had better be a kid's movie.
2003-03-10 07:29:16 PM
Strange...I see no mention of Eddie Murphy in the article.
2003-03-10 07:29:26 PM
...with Mimi from Drew Carey as Ms. Pac Man, and Rosie O'Doughnut as one of those big energy pellets that scares the ghosts.
2003-03-10 07:29:49 PM
Don't boycott Hollywood for protesting the war. Boycott them for coming up with dumb shiat like this.
2003-03-10 07:29:53 PM

you dont have to be here.

that being said, this makes my brain hurt. WAH WAH!
2003-03-10 07:30:14 PM
Crazier than a soup sandwich, . . .
2003-03-10 07:30:18 PM
alright! A reason to break out my old 45 (or 33, or whatever those things are called) of pacman fever!

I got a pocket full of quarters, and I'm headed to the arcade.
I don't have a lot of money, but I'm bringing ev'rything I made.
I've got a callus on my finger, and my shoulder's hurting too.
I'm gonna eat them all up, just as soon as they turn blue.

'Cause I've got Pac-Man fever;
Pac-Man fever.
It's driving me crazy.
Driving me crazy.
I've got Pac-Man fever;
Pac-Man fever.
I'm going out of my mind.
Going out of my mind.
I've got Pac-Man fever;
Pac-Man fever.
I'm going out of my mind.
Going out of my mind.

I've got all the patterns down, up until the ninth key.
I've got Speedy on my tail, and I know it's either him or me.
So I'm heading out the back door and in the other side;
Gonna eat the cherries up and take them all for a ride.

I'm gonna fake it to the left, and move to the right;
'Cause Pokey's too slow, and Blinky's out of sight.

Guitar solo

Now I've got them on the run, and I'm looking for the high score;
So it's once around the block, And I'll slide back out the side door.
I'm really cookin' now, eating everything in sight.
All my money's gone, so I'll be back tomorow night.

'Cause I've got Pac-Man fever;
Pac-Man fever.
It's driving me crazy.
Driving me crazy.
I've got Pac-Man fever;
Pac-Man fever.
I'm going out of my mind.
Going out of my mind.
Repeat and fade

kill me!
2003-03-10 07:30:25 PM

If you use Latin
It is 'Ogytarian.'
But that's not as good.
2003-03-10 07:30:27 PM
Can't wait for Pong: the movie, soon to follow...
2003-03-10 07:30:32 PM
...a kid's movie for kids who don't even have the faint childhood memories of playing the game in the back corners of Pizza Huts nationwide in the first place. Not like that's a memory that grips anyone enough to care about the movie, but at least it's a start
2003-03-10 07:30:37 PM
I'll believe it when I see it.
2003-03-10 07:30:49 PM
WTF WTF WTF WTF WTF? Pac-Man isn't even human. Also, the game, while amusing in a mindless fun type of way, hardly has enough material to make a movie on. Plus, even when given a game with plenty of material to work from, Hollywood still manages to f*ck up(mostly because they ignore said gaming material and make their own from scratch).
2003-03-10 07:31:01 PM
vaginarian. Genius. I will give you a dollar for that word. Anyway, my money is on the climatic scene where pac-man eats the power pellet. Spine tingling action!
2003-03-10 07:31:03 PM
In 1980 the harvard lampoon did a parody edition of Newsweek which was farkin hilarious. One of the movie reviews was for "pacman - the movie" which was, judging from the review, a theatre sized screen on which someone was playing pacman. The reviewer was confused by the lack of plot and the lack of character development.

Am I the only person in the world who remembers this? It was all kinds of funny especially a running gag through the edition in which Reagan had been replaced by a disney animatronic (and, of course, nobody really noticed except VP Bush and nobody really listened to him anyways).
2003-03-10 07:31:40 PM

hahahaha, great name :)
2003-03-10 07:32:04 PM
BigPimpin: I think that may actually be "Pong: The Motion Picture".
2003-03-10 07:32:06 PM
...and in the works:

may be more fitting..

well i guess we'll have to wait and see though
2003-03-10 07:33:20 PM
This is GENIUS!

Wil Wheaton IS Pac-Man!
Christopher Walken IS Inky!

You WILL believe a blob can, um, wander around eating dots off the ground...
2003-03-10 07:33:31 PM
Could there possibly be a worse movie idea from a video game? What's next, Dig Dug? How about Tetris, the movie? Maybe even a movie based on Super Pang!!!!
2003-03-10 07:34:25 PM
This is awesome!

So many good movies have come out of video games!

I can't wait!

wocka wocka
2003-03-10 07:35:36 PM
What in the name of all that is good and decent in the world??!?!
2003-03-10 07:35:43 PM
Of course what baffles me is that no one has attempted to make a Zelda movie...maybe I'm better off not seeing that one, but I think it could be good...or better than most...or whatever.
2003-03-10 07:36:00 PM
I've noticed that Crystal Sky Entertainment is the company responsible for Baby Geniuses and have also acquired the rights for a Tekken movie. Eesh
2003-03-10 07:36:04 PM
They make Pac-Man the frickin' movie, but has anyone seen a Legend of Zelda movie? A Metroid movie? A Rampage movie? Nope...
2003-03-10 07:36:26 PM
...can't be any worse than the street fighter movie.
2003-03-10 07:36:37 PM
Jim Belushi would be a good choice for this movie...

Pill-chasing, pursuing the ghosts of his career, hoping for the next power-up, running forever in a maze of bad scripts.
2003-03-10 07:36:46 PM
I wonder what the soundtrack will be like.

First single: "Pac-Man Fever" done by Britney Spears.
