Go banana!
2003-03-06 02:27:53 AM
hmmm 1 week until the 17 eh?
2003-03-06 02:28:05 AM
Well, I hope they have the sense not to air it opposite Six Feet Under.
2003-03-06 02:29:02 AM
Theeeeere it is...I thought Fark was unusally cheerful this morning.

And I will bet that absolutely nothing happens in March 17th, nor will anything happen 4 days before that, with the possible exception of my getting a blowjob on one of more of those aforementioned days.
2003-03-06 02:29:20 AM
well well well... looks like we're gonna have a nice flamewar tonight.
2003-03-06 02:29:24 AM
You mean all that marching in the cold that I did was for NOTHING?!?!?!?!
2003-03-06 02:29:26 AM
Because it always helps to let the enemy know just *when* we're going to kick their asses...
2003-03-06 02:30:09 AM
Glad to know my taxes are being used appropriately--let the bombing begin
2003-03-06 02:30:10 AM
s'good ta be da King !

2003-03-06 02:30:57 AM
come, gentle bombs
2003-03-06 02:31:11 AM
march 17 is a little more than a week away.

2003-03-06 02:31:15 AM

One week 'till 4 days before then (per the article).

I'm still thinking that we could knock-off Saddam (by bombing directly or a bullet), then his successor, and so on, until one of them agrees to an unconditional surrender. I know we have laws against it, but I also think it would make everyone happy - and if your name is Bush, your approval goes through the roof.

If you can pull it off..
2003-03-06 02:31:18 AM
ok, what's the point of doing this, shouldn't they supprise them or something?
2003-03-06 02:31:18 AM
St.Pat's day? Like we need another reason to get drunk.
2003-03-06 02:31:19 AM
how long do ya'll think this war will last?
2003-03-06 02:31:26 AM
...beware of the ides of march...

sub-title: go uganda (if you saw conan, you know what im talking about)

...and what the hell is this? giving the iraqis a chance by telling them when we bust down their door, eh? thats great...
2003-03-06 02:31:38 AM
British tabloids - your number one source for reliable troop movement timetable information.
2003-03-06 02:31:45 AM
I'm going on vacation that week, postpone the war for a few days so I don't get suicide bombed out of the air by some extremist lunatic, will ya?
2003-03-06 02:31:53 AM
And they never lie to the troops. My guess: It happens before St. Paddy's and ends in time for all to enjoy the victory with a big ol' stein fulla beer.
2003-03-06 02:32:31 AM
late at night? giving us regular all night types a chance to have our war before the main group decides to air it out tomorrow. heh.

/me dons his flame retardant suit

I don't think it'll happen within a week. It's a little too predictable. We're doing quite a psychological job overthere. just keep amassing troops, take the northen borderlands. Move slowly like a constrictor. heh
2003-03-06 02:32:51 AM
Seems like one of those "meet me at the playground after school so I can beat your ass..."

That's right, CoMoFo.

All that marching you did in the rain was for nothing.

Including the march you did in 2000 to slam a voting stub for someone other than the Shrub, as I assume you did.

Sorry to waste your time, Bush is a man on a mission. And it doesn't matter how many people disagree with him.

Although, it does amaze me how many people are rushing in to defend SADDAM HUSSEIN!
2003-03-06 02:33:20 AM
Outlaw2097 Saw the Conan last night. Iraq breaks out the chemical weapon, the U.S. breaks out the ammo. Conan skits can be very metaphorical sometimes.

Oh, and Kimmel sucks.
2003-03-06 02:33:31 AM
2003-03-06 02:33:43 AM
Well, at least they managed to keep it secret.
2003-03-06 02:34:11 AM
yea, the us invading iraq is a big secret
2003-03-06 02:34:23 AM
I need a miracle Kumbaya. Kumbaya, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh.
I need a miracle Kumbaya. Kumbaya.
Oh-oh-oh-oh. Oh, Lord. Oh, Lord.
Oh, Lord Kumbaya.

Shower down on me. Shower down on me.
I need You to shower down on me.
Lord I’m down here praying.
Lord I need a blessing
2003-03-06 02:34:25 AM

"All we are sayyyying...is give peace a chance!"

*snicker* been asleep for the last 12 years, have you?

Or just the last two?
2003-03-06 02:37:02 AM
It rather seems like the article is indicating this is yet another 'last chance ultimatum' for Hussein.

Y'know, 'cause those have worked oh-so-well in the past...
2003-03-06 02:37:12 AM
Triple, I don't see why we need to have the timing of it known to others. Might keep some of the troops safer.
2003-03-06 02:37:13 AM
Man o man watch that counter fly!
2003-03-06 02:37:16 AM
Nobody with a brain disagrees with Bush. I mean really, how many times do we have to repeat it? Saddam signed a treaty to disarm. He hasn't done that. We've given him more than eight years. He has thumbed his nose at the UN far too long. I guess the UN likes to take it up the ...
