Nice headline. Journeyman was a bright spot in last year's ho-hum TV lineup. I mean, c'mon, Knight Rider, Bionic Woman? Yuck.

I liked the book, even though it seemed "chicky" at times. I think they ramped it up for the movie. My favorite part was where Henry is 15 and goes back in time just a few weeks, meets himself, and gives his past self a blowjob.

/really, who wouldn't?

Yeah. I have to say it was one of the better shows.

At what point do we all acknowledge that Kevin McKidd is simply awesome? Has he ever been bad in anything?

It came out this weekend and did respectable numbers at the box office.

My brain is about to explode from the massive fail of TTTW (novel and probably the movie, I didn't bother with the movie, shouldn't have bothered with the book) and from how awesome Journeyman was except for his irritating wife. ARGH

I miss Journeyman.

I wish he would have gotten together with that lady from the past. That whole thing reminded me of the Quantum Leap episode when Sam fell hard for Tamlyn Tomita's character!

Saw it this past weekend with my GF to score some brownie points. all I could think about is if I were this guy, I would try to get it on with my wife everytime I travelled....regardless of her age.

Exactly, he's one of my favourite relatively unknown actors. Too bad he has been sucked into the world of Grey's Anatomy and Romantic Comedy. Hopefully he will get cast in something worth watching soon.

I took my wife to see this movie this past Saturday. I didn't think it was too bad. It was a bit confusing trying to figure out at times. All is all I would give this movie 3 1/2 to 4 stars.

That being said I don't think it would make for a good TV series, not after seeing the movie first. If they wanted it to be a TV show that should have done that instead.

Wow. This from book to movie to tv show, the Time Traveler's Wife has really lifted itself by his bootstraps.

I saw him in a bit part on Father Ted, once. I had just recently watched Journeyman and recognized him.

It's funny watching him utter the catch phrase "Oh Boy" and it not get annoying.

Journeyman was awesome. It would also have been good if they focused on just one time period, gave the character a hotter wife, and had him stab a bunch of people.

Oh wait, they did that and it got cancelled.

I had never even heard of this show, despite being in college during the one year (or looks like half-season) it was on the air. But thanks to your clip I watched the whole first episode and am now a fan. Thank you.

I'm a sucker for a good time travel story. Didn't read this book because it seemed more like a romance novel for women, but I might check out the movie.

Journeyman was a great show and I'll never trust NBC again after they cancelled that one.

Check out "Replay" by Ken Grimwood if you're looking for a good time travel story.

At least Journeyman got a respectable ending. It sucks that it was cancelled, but at least there was some closer with a rock solid final episode.

But yeah, F that...bring it back

I had to see TTW over the weekend.

it was excruciating.

and the worst part? The GF's daughter talked mom into bringing her to see the movie, too, so I didn't even get the traditional reward for sitting thru a god-awful chick flick.

My wife lured me into this one by hinting at its sci fi aspects. The movie was crap. The guy couldn't control where and when he travelled and no matter what he did, he could never alter the past. The writers painted themselves into so small of a corner that there was really no plot to speak of.

Even from the chick-flick perspective it failed. When the future is foretold early on, there's not much narrative tension about whether the time traveler and his wife will make it in the end.

That was a really good final episode.

That show did a lot of things right with that premise. The first one was getting rid of the idea of keeping it a "secret identity" thing. His wife knew by the second or third episode, so did his kid. That keeps the writers from playing with trite "keep it a secret" gags.
