Suzi looking her most pathetic. She'd even suck in her cheeks to make you think she was starving.

Fiona, Great Pyrenees and Golden Retriever mix, with Bella (dachshund and rat terrier mix)in the back of the kennel. Fiona has the most intense looks. It was hard to pick just one of her. Her expressions are just amazing. I am still trying desperately to get her "grin" and her "Elvis sneer". They are the most interesting looks I've ever seen on a dog.

Whoops.... Got behind on this competition and forgot to bring the camera last time I took the beast on a walk. Just file photos today, chaps! I feel a little lost in the noise already... This seems a popular subject.

The problem with Loki... He tends to get very interested when the camera comes out, making it nearly impossible to catch him acting naturally. He always starts doing tricks to see if theres food in it for him.

Bella and Sissy keeping the wife warm. This was the night 4 or 5 with no heat or power because of the ice storm. How heroic.

Three very precious old dogs on a beautiful summer afternoon. Taken last weekend, 7/24/09.

Beaglish Girl will be 13 years old next week. She is enjoying her longest cancer remission yet. 5 years this time, (ones before that was only 2 and 3 years respectively). She is in excellent condition and very active. She still has a lot of fun in a low level agility class. I'm the slow one between us, not her.

The next two may not see the end of the year.

Bulldog Boy is a senior and also in our agility class. Unfortunately he is not in a stable remission from lymphoma. His owner is amazing, not only teaching a dog of this breed to enjoy agility at all, but to keep him having fun at it even now. You'd never know he's so sick, and I don't think he usually knows it either.

Cavalier Girl will be 13 in October, which is very old for her breed. She has several different problems now. Once a top rated obedience trial dog for many years, she and my Beaglish Girl started training together when they were about a year old.

From last weekend: Beaglish Girl deliberately controls the pivot on the agility class teeter totter. This takes a lot of concentration!
