Did he just happen to be carrying an assault rifle?

I'm sure no gun control could have prevented this

Fullisade? Really Mr. article writer guy? You do realize that fancy words like that will make most people want to throw hot sauce at you.

Fire in the HOLE!!!!

33 years for second-degree murder, three counts of assault and four counts of armed criminal action? Geez, there are people in prison for life that didn't cause that much havock. He must have had great lawyers. Of course, his temper will probably get the best of him in prison. I'm sure he won't make it out alive. What a dumbass.

He's going to get pumped full of hot sauce for like 33 years.

IMO, the best hot sauce ive had. Its slightly sweet, very sharp, very spicy, without a macho-hotness. its not just meant to burn. its up there on scoville units, but it manages to balance a wonderful flavor.

That article was sparse, especially given them gem at the end. What the hell really happened?

A second man alleged to have been involved in the shooting, Arthur Timley, died in a shooting four months later.

You see, this wouldn't have happened if everyone carried an assault rifle. A crime-free Shangri-la would inevitably ensue.

2009-06-12 3:42:06 AM
Odd the article did not go into ANY detail about the person throwing the bottle of hot sauce. Considering a while back, some woman was arrested with assault with a deadly weapon for throwing a BANANA PEEL, I find it strange there was no detail on the sauced up person.

/must have had money lol

Better article. (new window)

In asking for a life sentence, assistant Jackson County prosecutor Michael Hunt noted that the rampage began when Scott threw a bottle of hot sauce at a woman's car window.

What are you, some kind of pacifist? Everyone just having assault rifles wouldn't do it. We all need to replace our non-dominant arms with assault rifles. *That* would do it.

humm not sure 1. it was a assault weapon not a hand gun and 2 he was given 33 years for it not the death penalty.

Does throwing hot sauce at someone constitute peppery?

A few more details:

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Jackson County Prosecutors say heated words and a thrown hot sauce bottle got Garry Scott killed.

A Jackson County jury found Jarvis T. Williams guilty Thursday of the October 2005 murder at a Kansas City gas station.

Scott got into an argument with two women after he asked them to move their car in the gas station parking lot at East 75th Street and Troost Avenue, according to court documents.

The women refused and Scott hurled a bottle of hot sauce through the back window of their car.

Scott realized he lost his cell phone and his companions drove him back to the gas station.

A woman inside the car with the broken window ran from the car and told two men what happened.

A man, later identified as Jarvis Williams, pulled a rifle from his pants and opened fire.

A bullet hit Scott in the head and killed him, according to the court documents.

Police were called and spotted a car speeding away from the murder scene.

The car crashed at East 59th Street and Troost Avenue and the driver fled.

Police caught up with Williams and found a rifle in the car.

Williams will be sentenced next month.

Well, since the common man isn't allowed to own assault rifles, I am not sure how this is true.

He threw a bottle of hot sauce at the guys biatch. Of course he had to die.

In Texas he would be given a parade.

Oh sorry, he may not be white. I guess jail is appropriate then, my bad.

Sounds like he's using the same model of disproportionate response that the US Government uses. I'm surprised he's going to jail.
