Obdicut: krelborne: I knew that someone would jump on me for accidentally using the word again. Obdicut, you are one pedantic Farker.

What word did you accidentally use again?

You said that it's a fact that it's a blueprint. Then you said it's not a blueprint.

What did you actually mean?

I supplied lots of other facts besides the fact that it was called a blueprint.

There. So I guess I accidentally used the word improperly. Not that anyone should care, but you seem to be a stickler for phrasing.

And don't bother to mine my comments for supposed contradictions to this statement. Spend your time on something more productive.

krelborne, you didn't ask for my advice but I'll offer it anyway. Your behavior is the perfect example of why the GOP is in a tough spot right now. You make contradictory statements, at least one of which is false. Then when you're called on it, well, that's not your failing at all, it's just that the rest of us are being pendantic.

I saw the same thing during President Bush's time in the White House. Valid criticism was dismissed as Bush Derangement Syndrome or Bush Bashing by party faithful. As a result, Bush failures became GOP failures because the party "stayed the course" behind their man. Then once the damage was done they scrambled to distance themselves from it all. But it was too late.

Draw your own analogies and take my advice or ignore it. Your choice.

Look, I can't get my phrasing 100% right all the time, and I had already said that I was using the term "blueprint" because Boehner did. Singling out a word or two slip up is being pedantic.

And that Bush analogy is awful.

T. Dawg: Feindevil: T. Dawg: Feindevil:

Correct me If im wrong but when Geitner proposed a plan/outline similar to this didnt the market take a nose dive? Whats happening now?

I live with my mom
Wasnt an attempt to troll. Intent was that the market freaked when Geitner released an outline of his plan. This "budget" is more of an outline than an actual budget therefore {snark} what is the market doing. I realize that im probably only going to get a 2 from the mexican judges since my execution was way off.

Yeah, you crotched the pole vault on that one ;)

What the hell do you mean by supposed contradictions? The contradictions are there. You're admitting them. That post you just made was admitting a contradiction.

So, to do some more 'mining', when you said I knew that someone would jump on me for accidentally using the word again. you actually meant I should have included the word 'called'?

You seem to think I'm being an asshole for pointing out that your statements are contradictory all over the place, and your retort to that is saying that pointing out your contradictions is pedantic?

krelborne: And that Bush analogy is awful.

Actually, it's spot on. You're so focused on getting the last word and refusing to admit you were wrong that you're coming off like a partisan hack that will only be ignored in the future by reasonable people. Choose your cliche: penny wise, pound foolish. Win the battle, lose the war. The all work. Now I'm sure you're saying "but I apologized" and yes, you did. A childish, whiny apology that was more about spreading the blame around and making it seem like we're picking on you for sheer sport than a sincere "gee, I made a mistake, sorry" that would have nipped all this in the bud. I don't judge people for making mistakes. We all do it. I judge people by how they make amends for their mistakes. Like I said, you're free to ignore my advice and I'm guessing that's what you'll do. Fine. I tried.

"When will it be Clinton's fault?"

It was amazing to watch to the Republican reaction to Obama's transition team. You could just smell the Republican confusion over whether to blame everything that was wrong in the country on a man who hadn't been President in over 8 years, and a man who wasn't yet President.

It was a confusing time, but the Republicans somehow managed to pull together and scapegoat the Democrats.

cefm: Hey, can you write me up a 1-pager on the 18-pager on how to fix this trillion dollar clusterfark? I really don't have enough time to read the whole thing.

Sure.

TAX CUTS
MORE TAX CUTS
TAXES BAD! HULK SMASH!
DEMOCRATS WANT TO STOP US FROM CUTTING TAXES - THEY ARE EVIL!
WE WILL FOCUS ON ENERGY BY CUTTING TAXES - DEMOCRATS WILL NOT
WE WILL FOCUS ON HEALTH CARE BY CUTTING TAXES - DEMOCRATS WILL NOT
HIGH TAXES LEAD TO DEPRESSION - DEMOCRATS WANT YOU TO BE DEPRESSED
LOOK AT THIS FAMILY - THEY HAVE LOW TAXES AND THEY ARE SMILING
LOW TAXES TURN HOMELESS PEOPLE INTO CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTORS
LOW TAXES MAKES OIL COME OUT OF THE GROUND

There you go.

You really aren't getting it. I don't recommend that you attempt to paint me as a right wing nutjob, because you're going to look foolish if you do so.

Perhaps I should frame my comments in terms that are closer to your position on the political map.

1) Consider when Obama said "my Muslim faith" and people focused on that particular phrase, as if it mattered.
2) Here's the Fark thread related to that.

I don't have to - or even want to - paint you as anything. Your dishonesty throughout this thread speaks for itself.

In case I'm not here to respond to the inevitable "when was I dishonest in this thread" nonsense, here's the most recent example of many:

krelborne: I supplied lots of other facts besides the fact that it was a blueprint.

krelborne: I was only using the word blueprint because that's the word Boehner used. You're right, I've read it, it's not a blueprint.
