This is sad. I wonder why the girls were in the front and the guys both in the back. I'd have insisted that the other chick sit in the back seat with me. Or better yet, don't let the one chick drive. Dying at age 18 is tragic. All farkers: use caution behind the wheel. Not a toy. Drive defensively. Many idiots have driver's license.

2003-02-04 2:02:47 PM
Rest in peace brother.

My thoughts are with his friends and family. Very, very sad.

2003-02-04 2:14:50 PM
Sad indeed. It's stuff like this that's gonna make me into a paranoid mother who won't let her child ride in a car with another kid driver.

2003-02-04 2:23:03 PM
Sad. Why is it only making it now? there was another thread with this. Oh well.

RIP man.

How sad to lose one of our own. Fark feels like an extended family to me. My sincere condolences to the young man's loved ones.

I'm very sorry to hear this. My condolences to his family and friends, my thoughts are with you.

The investigation concluded that excessive speed, driving too fast for the windy weather conditions and driver inattention contributed to the accident

Excessive speed AND driving too fast? The Department of Repetitive Redundancy Department thanks you for your investigative prowess there, Officer.

(The first of what should be many Fark-esque comments. I would certainly have wanted it this way. Condolences to his family.)

Sad news. I've wondered, occasionally we probably lose a Farker/ette and never find out about it. R.I.P., brother Kilipo4.

2003-02-04 3:34:45 PM
Its always sad when you lose a person in your community - real, internet, or otherwise. I'll say a prayer for him

2003-02-04 3:34:58 PM
terrible. my condolences to those who knew him.

sad, too, and possibly preventable. stated simply, let this be a gentle reminder to the rest of us to wear our seatbelts. in most cases they greatly improve your chances of survival in an accident. a seatbelt saved my life in a rollover once.

don't you owe it to your loved ones to do so?

2003-02-04 3:40:40 PM
My condolences to his family and friends. RIP young man.

I know the internet and various communities are mostly anonimous forums and most don't know each other in any real, human sense - but I am truely sorry for the loss of a young life in such a tragic way.

So Kilipo4 here's to you fellow farker! Save me a good spot and I'll see you soon enough. Heck - I'll buy the first round...

[/has faith that God enjoys a frothy mug now & again]

Lets all have a beer for kilipo4. What a bummer.

Not to be a skeptic, but does anyone personally know this Farker to be the same Cliff Wilson? A search turned up many, many Cliff Wilsons in Texas

If it is, RIP buddy.

2003-02-04 6:17:32 PM
dying in a car accident is my worst fear. what a pointless death. kilipo4, I hope you're in a better place.

His email address matches up to a Cliff Wilson at Texas Tech University and yesterday someone posted his high school pic from LBJ High School in Austin.

According to state police, Tav azon's vehicle drifted onto the shoulder on the east side of the road. She then over corrected and lost control of the Honda.

Damn, how fast were they going?

2003-02-04 7:24:45 PM
My condolences to the family. My God have his soul.
