Why is it that assholes that get top political jobs dropped on their laps always suck?

In NY, "Governor" Patterson is a douchebag that wants to cut funding to zoos. Lets lay off the polar bears!

And now this piece of shiat has the balls to say that he made Obama's political career? No, no, no, no, no, no, NO.

With regards to the Burris situation, I think there should be an amendment where any current publicly elected official running for a higher office should have, on the same ballot, a list of 5 candidates for replacing him in the event that he wins.

Also, governors that resign should trigger a special election the following year for a replacement. We didn't elect this Patterson dick, nor do we want him. Shouldn't we have a say on this matter?

It looks like the Democratic party in Illinois is already starting to recruit people to run against this douchebag, so he should enjoy his time there.

You had a say and you elected a whore monger, with Blindy McBlind as lt governor, so maybe STFU?

Jeri Ryan had more to do with it than he did.

"The proposed emergency expenditures on nearly every realm of education, including school renovation, special education, Head Start and grants to needy college students, would amount to the largest increase in federal aid since Washington began to spend significantly on education after World War II."

Sounds good to me.

Oh, but: "Republicans strongly criticized some of the proposals as wasteful spending."

Typical. Republicans hate education. The more educated the electorate becomes, the less they tend to vote for Republicans.

The person responsible for an Obama presidency is Seven of Nine.

She gave her husband public blowjobs at a sex club that got him kicked out/resigned. Obama won election over Alan "I'M BATshiat CRAZY" Keyes and thus a star was born.

True. Burris appears to have the maturity and ability to compose himself in public of a poorly raised 12 year old. The man really is a disgrace.

While it certainly made it a done deal, I volunteered for Obama during that election and I can tell you there wasn't really much of a doubt that Obama was going to beat Ryan. Winning the primary was a far greater concern.

Aye. Anyone who accepted a Blago offer is, ipso facto, someone with poor enough judgement that they should not be a Senator.

While this is the standard Democrat "throw money at it" problem-solving, it does make me feel better about Mr. Senator-McCain-and-I-agree-that-the-autism-vaccine-connection-bears-further-inve stigation's education policies.

//Still his weakest point, but I'll call that one a step in a better direction.
//Obama has the brains, I think, to realize he doesn't quite get the science stuff. Always a plus in the guy directing the DOE and DoEd.

I don't know who you are, but after the last 30 years of Republican rule, you sound like an retard.

Between 1932 and 1979 the nation might have 'thrown money at the problems' but it was at least solvent -- while actually solving problems.

Yeah, good luck to the Illinois Democrats kicking this schmuck out in favor of a sane person. To be fair, we here in NY will likely be lining up to take out our schmucky governor.

THIS. Look at California. The problem is always one of revenue. Just get more money and there's always more that the people can benefit from the government spending it in. It is called the multiplier effect and that's how a dollar taxed can result in five dollars gained.
