His character, yes. Himself, not likely.

I just saw that.

Crazy funny.

I only managed to catch until the end of that bit, but it was fairly good...especially how subdued he seemed at the beginning.

When will Obama acknowledge the Colbert-bump.

Steven deserves a cabinet position. Maybe sec. of interior, couldn't be any worse than the last guy.

Loved the show last night, but seriously the man is going to have his work cut out for him.

I'm guessing he's probably going to capitalize on all the hyper-critical extremely annoying Obama detractors.

I wonder if any of his writers have a Fark login...

This is the place to see such hysteria in action.

I read somewhere that the real Stephen Colbert is a democrat.

Secretary of Very Attractive Men.

I'd bump it. And I can say that because I'm so confident in my masculinity

Yeah, the wiki (new window) seems to agree.

He did an interview with a newspaper or magazine a little while back that was a really good read.

I thought Stewart did a great show last night also. My favorite part was him reading the Obama speech as Dubya.

C'mon, attack the straw man the right created..."he is really a secrit muzlim", "he never delivered the promised unicorns that shat rainbows that then turned into gold that would in turn fix the economy"...and then there is the comedy musings of Joe Biden...it took Joe B all of 3 hours as VP to diss Chief Justice Roberts and -20 hours for his wife to say that he coulda been SoS instead of hillary.

Joe biden is GOLD!

Exactly. Maybe it will be easier (and more fun) than I thought. Pretend to agree with the "criticisms" and then drop the satire bomb in all the right places.

Not to mention that the media is no less an easy target now than they were in the past 8 years...

Or you could have listen to his speech at the Press Club a couple of years ago, that's a clue.

Very weak. Roberts deserves some disrespect, and who cares if Biden was offered a choice? His official explanaition seems more likely, anyway.

It's mineutia...

Gene Robinson's response to Stewart's joke about Bishops only moving diagonally was comedy gold, though.

I thought it was a little TOO childish, but that point was overcome by Samantha Bee saying balls a lot.

If they didn't go all out by including the Aretha Franklin clip joke I might agree but they usually have a high point such as that when they go for the inertly childish angle.

Stewart invited him for a real interview sometime soon.

Now let's see Obama back on the show. I mean Obama is all ready really popular with the youth but it would be cool.

Also where is McCain? He should go back on the show soon.

Stephen Colbert, the pundit, is so conservative he probably doesn't even need to change his underwear.

Stephen Colbert, the comedian, is so leftist he makes Trotsky look like a Reaganite.
