As long as he doesn't drive the country further into the ground and isn't caught garroting children in the Oval Office, he's going to be the first genuine role model president since Kennedy.

I try to be as pragmatic as possible, but people really need to stop sucking the man's kneecaps.

Yes, he's a change of face compared to the other 43 presidents that have taken office in the United States, but that shouldn't mean that everything he is or does should be emulated by the masses.

I mean I hear stories about people going to barber shops asking for "The Obama" as if getting his haircut style is going to make you look presidential or something.

I only hope that the media will still love him when things aren't looking so favorable for him(if they aren't already).

They already have, CNN spent a segment the other night wondering why the Isreali/Hamas conflict was still going on when B.Hussein was going to be in office in a week. The parrots were pretty put off that B.Hussein didn't wave his arm and make everything puppies and doughnuts. I was pretty impressed that CNN would feign dissent from the Great One.

If he inspires the Black community to pull up its socks and deal with its demons, all the more power to him.

A good haircut makes a HUGE difference in the world. First impressions are a major factor in business and personal dealings.

Obama is taller, better looking, more physically impressive, and more confident then McCain. That alone probably swung a large section of voters up for grabs more then any policy or VP differences.
