Regardless of one's politics, the whole man made climate change concern is really starting to fall apart. The good news is that it is better to find out now rather than later after billions have been spent trying to "fix" it.

"EU's new president"

Goddamnit, subby. I realize the article might be too long for your short-ass attention span, but you could at least read the farking headline:

EU's new figurehead believes climate change is a myth

It's the president of the Czech Republic (the newest EU nation) that the article is talking about, you tool.

It's a scientific issue. the scientific consensus and the evidence that supports that consensus is all that matters, not what the president of some random EU country thinks.

Sure it is. It is much better to ignore the problem, create no new jobs, remain hunched over, lapping at the feet of tyrants with oil, and to continue to poison our planet.

Why, what if we spent all that money and all we had to show for it was cleaner air, water and land, and a healthier populace because of it? Why, the absolute horror.

Healthy skepticism is what science is built on. And of course there's some drama over the issue. Drastic change doesn't come about without a bit of fuss.

There is absolutely no denying that our present rate of pollution and resource consumption is not sustainable.

The scientific consensus of ecolologist, or anyone else who actually understand "global warming," is that it is a scam. Al Gore, Al Franken, Chris Mathews, Nancy Pelosi, etc., are not qualified scientist on the subject. Its been hard to hear the real truth about global warming becaise it undermines the media's political agenda.

The Czech Republic is not some random EU country.

They currently hold the presidency of the EU. While Vaclav Klaus isn't the president of the EU, that's a disingenuous argument because there IS no single farking president of the EU. It's part of the Lisbon Treaty but that obviously hasn't been ratified (yet).

So while the subby made a mistake in claiming that Klaus was the president, your post proves that you too fail at life.

No one is claiming that they are scientists. They are spokespersons. Scientists gather data, run experiments, and share their findings. They don't go on TV and tell us what to do, that's not part of their job description.

Your attempt to change the argument into whether Al Gore et al are scientists, has failed.

It's odd how hundreds of years of warming isn't enough to prove the theory, but one year of cooling is enough to refute it.

The consensus is that worldwide temps have increased .7 degrees over the past 100 years. Considering how small that increase is, and the dubious temperature gathering methods employed over the past century, I hardly want to gamble my economic future over such a "trend".
