I would've loved to see the lawyers face when this guy brought it up.

"so you think there's a big conspiricy by NASA to send you junk mail..."

FTA:

Brevard County sheriff's agents and NASA investigators confirmed that a computer in cubicle 2140S on the second floor of the Joint Base Operations Building was used....

Is the NASA Budget that bad that?

Now if they would bust the ladies in cubes 2150N thru 2163N for shoe shopping on line, our space craft could break the light barrier...

What are you talking about? The hot girl in 2155N is already quite busted!

I'm pretty sure the allegation is real...

I like how the guy throws around technical terms that he clearly doesn't understand. I also have to call bullshiat on the ability of a website that signs you up for mailing lists actually ruining (somewhere in the vicinity of 200 points?) your credit rating. Dude probably kept the "facts" of this case in his pocket until his business went south so he'd have someone to blame.

Every time a credit check is run on you, it autoamtically drops your credit rating by 5 points. Even if you are checking your own rating.

Do the math.

Article fails to mention if former landlord was or was not a reverse vampire.

When I worked at Sam Goody we had a woman come in complaining about how her explicit cds were edited. She claimed the government was censoring her music through her stereo. Cool lady.

Bullshiat. The checks that affect your score are applications for new credit. I want to see the website where you can sign up for 40 (or more) credit cards (and not just "here's my address, send me an application").

Ummm...no. A "hard-pull" inquiry on your credit (meaning you applied for credit with a company and authorized them to check it)will possibly drop your score one point. If you check your own credit, it's called an AR, account review and doesn't effect your score at all. You can check your credit every day, and unless you're doing it from a bank as an official inquiry, your score will not change.

Strangely enough, this sounds real. Good luck convincing a court that a contractor working on a terminal in a cubical at a NASA facility used a tool on an internet website to ruin your credit rating by submitting applications for loans using stolen identity information. Most judges have a hard time understanding how email is sent and received ....

/you sure this isn't a plot from a Michael Crichton novel??

Considering the guy confessed to it to investigators? Yeah - problem = not so much.

FTFA: Landivar told authorities that he only wanted to harass Welch, not ruin his credit rating.

A plea agreement is in the works, Assistant State Attorney Joe Downing said.

"Only wanted to harass Welch, not ruin his credit rating" my hairy, white ass. In a just world, not only would this farktard have the book thrown at him for perpetrating fraud and criminal mischief but his victim would be legally allowed to beat him to within an inch of his life.
