Welcome to Farktography!

This Week's Theme: "Pinhole Camera"

Description
: Take some shots with a pinhole camera, lens, or lens cap.

We ask that before submitting your photos you read and adhere to the following submission rules, including but not limited to the following:

- Submissions must be photographs; screen captures do not count as photographs.
- You must be the original photographer of your entry. Do not submit anyone else's photography as your own.
- You are only allowed to enter a photograph once. Do not submit the same photo to another contest later.
- You may enter 3 photos in each contest as long as each photo is of a different composition.
- Please post each photo separately so they can be voted for individually.

Please note:

The overarching ideal behind Farktography is that image corrections are acceptable, while adding or removing elements in the image (e.g. removing telephone poles, adding Elvis) is not acceptable. HDR, stitching, or otherwise combining exposures in post processing are not allowed unless specified for a particular theme (multiple exposures done in-camera are acceptable, however). See the rules for more information on acceptable modifications, or check in at the Farktography Forums.

Legal: All photographers submitting photos to this contest are the legal copyright holders for the photos submitted and the photos are not to be considered free for any other use without written consent from the submitting photographers.

- Drop by the Farktography Forum (for chatting, critique, techtalk and so on)

- Image hosting sites can be found here.

I wasn't even going to attempt it this week but decided at the last minute to give it a go. Just some quick shots around the house to try it out. I think I'll stick with modern photography methods from now on...

I learned a couple things about photography this week but just as importantly I learned that I really needed to dust the top of my lamp.

Seven hour exposure taken in Zion National Park, Utah. Large "C" in the sky is Polaris, and the vegetation is glowing yellow from the sodium vapor lights from the nearby Zion Lodge.

Mc Donalds drive through!

Ok so I struggled like hell with this weeks theme.

I took about 400 shots over the past few days.

After doing some research on flickr and stuff I have to say some people get amazing shots with pinhole cameras, all the best ones I have seen were done with medium or large format film.
The dust on my sensor ( at least I think thats what it is) is killing me.

Is this an alien?

Or a grandson who walked in front of the light box and stood there in the middle of the shot?

I took some shots with a pinhole camera, lens and a lens cap. They were lousy company, and I'm pretty sure they were upset that I didn't share any.

My old '94 Grand Am. Picture is from about 8 years ago or so, I think.

Taken with a "classic" pinhole camera (tin blacked out with spraypaint, aluminum foil hole, photo paper inside, developed in a darkroom.
