I blame #*&$%#@( consumers, who have been complete bastards by buying less of the stuff, and driving the price down.

Are you kidding me? This is bullshiat! How long do they expect us Americans to pay for cheap gas until we just say 'fark it', and go back to wasting money buying SUVs that get 14MPG? This is an outrage!

This is what I fear. Oil WILL go back up... at some point. I doubt to $140 for a very long time... but definitely $80 to $100.

And if someone out there is stupid enough to buy a car that gets shiatty gas mileage and it goes back up... tough shiat to them.

Fortunately, we are still in a recession and so people will try and cut back.

It earlier touched a new 3-1/2 year low of $47.36, its lowest since May 2005.

It's only been 3.5 years since oil was this low? It feels like it's been high for a lot longer than that...

As I recall, Katrina was when prices really started to skyrocket.

quite a few people were introduced to the idea of conservation, and refusing to buy arabian products.

The public has found pleasure in it.
Now, why quit?
see how the oil cartel is on its knees?...
they look so attractive, on their knees

I'm still laughing at all the people who took that "$2.99/gal gas" promo from Jeep/Chrysler instead of the rebate last summer. That's gotta sting. Or the people who went and bought a Prius "to save money". How long you gotta make payments before you make your money back vs. driving your old car? Lol. Crazy.

Big ol' THIS. Seems to have slowed down like a John Woo movie when something explodes.

It's Obama who's telling Americans to use less gas. OPEC needs to do something about this Obama guy. He's going to destory the world.

Oil at $48/bbl is going to bite everyone in ass eventually. It now costs $80/bbl to lift it out of the ground. So you're going to have all sorts of cancelled development projects that will eventually constrain supply bringing us back to $100+/bbl oil. Can't buy USO fast enough at these prices.
