And?

It is your own fault if you do not have backups, fail to save the document in a format you can print from a school computer, accidentally format your USB drive etc.

Also, FTFA: ":: My internet was down so I could not do any research;"

Look. You may have heard about these things made out of pressed wood-pulp, then exposed to ink, and bound together. Called "books", right? Here's a tip: You can find information in those to, although the search function sucks.

Copying stuff from wikipedia is not research, and hopefully never will be.

Palin-tized by the second post.

I'm glad this got out of the way, and now we can have a gold old fashioned snark fest without the rabid zealots that troll politics threads

I salute you, sir, and honor your sacrifice.

The federal government needs to find recruiters to hacking and raid into websites. 4chan would be a good start. Look what they did at Tokio Hotel last month.

Out there somewhere, a group of Russian hackers is deleting homework on the internets, and getting away with it because nobody believes those meddling kids.

And that kids, is why you should stay in school and study hard. If you don't, you could end up like Jambuu, and nobody wants that.

It's easy enough to deal with computer hackers, all you need to do is find a $0.75 accounting error on your computer and spend a few months tracing the connections back to wherever they're coming from.

I would suggest you check in Hamburg.

/probably not obscure

I work in educational technology, so I'm really getting a kick out of these replies...

And yes, students have tried saying things like that. I show them server logs, no logins with their username for *weeks* - "Someone hacked me!".

My fave is the brother & sister who accessed the exam at the same time from the same IP... and were on dialup w/ no router, etc. between them and the world. "No, we weren't taking the exam together!"

I remember looking at my firewall's block logs and looked up the IP of some of the offending probes. All Russian.
