The dictionary defines "meh" as an expression of indifference or boredom, or an adjective meaning mediocre or boring. Examples given by the dictionary include "the Canadian election was so meh."

You blackguards! You rogues! That's so... accurate dammit so much

/OK, this year qualified for meh, but 2004 and 1993 were pretty interesting elections with tons of drama.
//2006 was also quite engrossing, although mostly because it was a spectacular trainwreck that I watched with horror and dismay.
///and the elections before Stephen Harper was Conservative/Canadian Alliance leader had Preston Manning and the Refooooooorm party, or Doris Day riding around on a jetski. And Jean Chrétien. Remember Jean Chrétien? Say what you like about how he operated, but he was never "meh".

FTFA: The origins of "meh" are murky, but the term grew in popularity after being used in a 2001 episode of "The Simpsons" in which Homer suggests a day trip to his children Bart and Lisa

They're crediting the Simpsons for helping to popularize the term, not for creating it.

The dictionary's compilers said the word originated in North America, spread through the Internet and was now entering British spoken English.

What unnecessary letters will the British add to this one?

"the Canadian election was so meh."

That's not proper usage.

The proper usage is, "Canadian election? Meh."

I always thought there was a Yiddish expression close to the sound of "meh" that meant the same thing.

I heard it before the Simpsons ...
