(Yahoo)   1. Complain about Sarah Palin's $150,000 wardrobe. 2. Then complain that it looks like her shoes don't fit right. Congratulations: You're way to stupid to be a redneck, but you'll make a great Huffington Post columnist   (news.yahoo.com) divider line

Unlike subby I'll bet the author knows the difference between "to" and "too."

2008-10-27 12:59:11 PM
Maureen Dowd was all over this one. "You say 'You sexists, don't call her Caribou Barbie' and then you go take her out to play dress-up and do her hair?"

Sorry, feeling a little stabby today.

subby I'm sorry but the 150k bill for her clothes and make up should not have been from campaign funds. Its shows she is not a reformer.

2008-10-27 2:34:10 PM
TOO.

i love it when someone calls someone else stupid on teh interwebs, and does something stupid to negate the whole statement. bonus when it's a republican.

Wow, the fascist subbies are really laying it on thick these days. So thick they don't even check their grammar...

Et to, submitter?

2008-10-27 2:36:32 PM
I also came in here to mention that subby misspelled "too."

However I will add that the wardrobe thing is pretty stupid, just as stupid as complaining about John Edwards' expensive haircuts. Celebrities and public figures spend a lot of money (not necessarily their own) on their looks.

\Quick, get Ric Romero on the horn!

Heh. I love the smell of liberal desperation. The worst anyone can do is make fun of her wardrobe and a few responses from load, ambush questions. Oh, and give her a catchy name that even I think is cute: Caribou Barbie.

/Somehow this is worse than BHO's camp paying thousands of dollars to falsely register dead people.

I would have had no problem if this had come from her salary. I would have had no problem if the clothes were loaners, either from supporters, or from fashion designers wanting more exposure. I do have a problem with this coming from campaign funds - because it shows me how they really take care of other people's money.

2008-10-27 2:39:45 PM
Hopefully for the subby, the mods will come and fix the mistake. Luckily for us, the damage has already been done. I guess we are all just to stupid too realize this. Two.

Uh, the bit about her shoes not fitting was in her defense in the article. Maybe my reading comprehension skills are weak, but the author talks about all the money on clothes and then says its not Palin's fault for the most part because its in evidence that she didn't really have anything to do with it?

2008-10-27 2:42:50 PM
The author isn't complaining about her shoes not fitting. The author is pointing to that fact as marginally supporting Palin, in the sense that Palin obviously didn't go out and buy the stuff herself, and wouldn't have been expected to know how much everything cost.

Subby, you've just criticized the one part of the story that didn't reflect all that poorly on Palin. Well done. I think you've found the "way to stupid."

Yeah, the worse we can do is make fun of her wardrobe. It's not like we can lambaste her for her vapid personality, her idiotic lies, or her specious political attacks. We can't mention the fact that she was publicly censured by a bipartisan legislative committee for abuse of her executive power, or that she uses Alaskan taxpayer money to fly her and her kids around the country; not to mention falsely claiming thousands of dollars in per diem expenses for living at her house.

We can't mention that her husband was, and is, a member of a secessionist political party, or that she spoke at said secessionist party's political convention. We can't mention that she gives friends high ranking political posts because they went to high school with her, or that her personal home was built for free by "friends."

Nope, we have to resort to attacking her for spending 150,000 dollars on clothes, including 73,000 dollars on a one day shopping spree at Neiman Marcus. We can't mention that she portrays herself as a commonman's hockey mom fighting for the little guy yet spends more money on clothes than Joe the Plumber makes in three years.

You're right. We're desperate.

2008-10-27 2:43:44 PM
So what? Michelle Obama wears the exact same pumps that Arafat wore.

Wake me up when it relates to fired confectioneries.

Oh, and her wacky religious beliefs.

You must not have read the whole memo. B HUSSEIN O is now paying ACORN thousands of dollars, *directly*, for the sole purpose of registering dead people and Mickey Mouse. He is also going to hire large scary black men to beat up people at the polls and carve backwards "B"s onto their faces unless they vote Democrat.

/Did I miss anything?

Rascal King: Really is all facist links all the time today huh?

They're greenlighting a bunch of quasi-fascist links just to even out the score. In reality some of the so-call fascist links are simply retarded.

"Oh no, we're drifting too far into the Commie zone, we need to 'balance' it out!"
"Ok, let's approve this 'Obama is a zombie' article and mark it as fascist".

/No matter what the PITA says, Fark is definitely left leaning.
