What they don't tell you is the probe is actually an effort to root out the low level bureaucrat who forgot to change those forms that led to this shiatstorm in the first place. The offender will most certainly be sent a camp for "reeducation" so that they can better live up to the Chairman's Ideals of not missing pesky details like real documents that haven't been falsified properly.

I mean, what is going on here?!

The Chinese government is a communist regime, who makes these athletes perform, or they die. The government establishes their identity. I repeat - the government. They take 13 year olds and say that they are 16 or 18 or whatever. It is not fake because the farkin government made the identifications! They can say whatever they want!

Then...when there is a sign of impropriety - the government investigates~! And the whole world acts as if this makes sense?! Crazy!
