(New York Daily News)   Last week: 7-year-old feeds zoo animals to the zoo's croc. This week: "CHILD GOES ON VIOLENT RAMPAGE AT ZOO." Bonus: If the photo's to be believed, he forced the croc to eat at gunpoint. Is there a sweeps week in Australia?   (nydailynews.com) divider line

FTFA: "If a driver cuts you off, and you as a parent act back in an aggressive way, then your child will eventually pick up on the behavior," Puff says. "So parents need to look at their own behavior."

HA HA HA.....sure. Whatever you say.

Both hands are always necisary. Little kids are wormy, you gotta hold them down while you beat them.

From what I read the 1st time this was posted, the 2nd headline is more appropriate. He didn't just feed animals to the croc, he also bludgeoned animal(s) to death.

/some kids just turn out monsters
//should've been eaten by the croc

I went to the zoo yesterday. I saw two bald eagles there. The sight made a great picture of 'freedom' in today's America.

Most zoos would be more fun if you could feed animals to other animals. I'm thinking throwing live chickens to the crocodiles, or young republicans to the polar bears.

Yup, bludgeoned animals. Something like bashing three critters to death with a rock. That's way beyond tossing live bait to a croc to watch the exciting, wild kingdom show, and well into "it puts the lotion on its skin" territory.

I am all for giving that little peckerwood a 28th trimester abortion, then moving on with our lives. The only reason this even got national publicity is that it happened at a zoo.

FTABecause of his age, officials said they cannot charge the youth, whose identity was not released.

Wow, that sucks. Unless his parents decide to do the right thing and punish him at home, he's getting away with this!

Didn't hear much about the parents involved...who thinks they will punish the kid?

Check the signage. I overheard some people complaining about the very same thing at the Toronto zoo, but if they'd read the sign, they'd have known that the caged bald eagle had been injured in a tornado or hurricane or something, couldn't fly and was unable to survive at all in the wild.

You could make a case for letting nature take its and let the bird die though.

Yep. All the while, with a grin on his face. The kid spent half an hour killing and feeding exhibits to other exhibits - I think "violent rampage" is appropriate. "Sweeps week," my ass.

The worst part is that the zoo will probably share part of the blame, because the animals obviously weren't protected enough against destructive little psychopaths, when it comes time to sue the parents.

Those crime stats are bogus, gamers are just full of themselves trying to win against idiots who think the games are bad. I can't see anyone arguing that it'd actually be good for us to play violent video games. If that were true, rates around the world would be dropping far more significantly, and we'd be shipping games to genocidal countries.

I haven't seen the pics/ video. Either that kid was seriously abused all his life or was just born rotten. Too bad he can't be forced into therapy. Or "therapy."

2008-10-06 1:17:52 PM
Even if the kid lives where there are crocodiles and maybe he has regular access to them in so much that he is allowed to feed them other reptiles, dead things, etc.

My questions are:
Where were his parents for 30 minutes?
Why didn't his missing parents tell him not climb the fences, touch the other animals, or kill anything?

Is it that he is disturbed or is it that he's a feral child and he's never been told how to act at the zoo before?

I bet the crocodile isn't complaining.

The Zoo is suing the parents for damages, the animals killed were worth an estimated $50,000

What a little pile of shiate this kid is, he killed a tortoise that was over 100 years old and several other large reptiles including a monitor that was had been at the park since it hatched and was one of the most well known lizards the park had.

I would of paid a million Pecos for that kid to of dropped over that wall into the Kimodo Dragon pen. Then instead of getting away with it, he would be several piles of gooey lizard crap.

All the dangerous reptiles in there and he gets away with no injuries, their is no god.

The zoo plans to sue, but I think that's still light. The parents should at least be charged with negligence or something. I just don't want to see this kid slip through the cracks and get no follow-up, therapy, or punishment just because he's underage.

Nope. The article says he bashed in the heads of three lizards before feeding the bodies to the croc. He's a sociopath, plain and simple, and will kill people when he's in his late twenties/early thirties. I hope, at least, that this incident has gotten him on some psycho-watch list so he's easier to catch when he does.
