Yay! A burning log. Let's stare in awe!

Beats the hell out of reruns of Friends or Seinfeld.

There's a WTC joke in there somewhere...

Reality TV had it's day.

I thought LA had cornered the market on facades and fake everything . . . Oh, my cable provides 24/7 saltwater fish tank with classical music channel . . . never mind

Beats the hell out of MOST garbage on TV...

They're just jealous of their street-dwelling neighbors with the metal oil drum firepits.
2002-12-28 12:40:17 PM
heh... funny but sad as well.

CityTV did that up here in Canada, eh.
2002-12-28 12:59:09 PM
I'll admit, we had it on in the background...

We had the Yulelog on last year. It reminds Me of a screensaver for Your TV. Which was fine until I got drunk and tried to piss-out the fire.

TV Execs are trying to decide whether next season's filming will be at the North Pole, Serengeti, or some remote tropical island in the South Pacific.

"Yule Log: Outlast, Outburn, Outofideas"

I saw that. There was music playing at the same time, commercial free. Made nice background music to fark by.

They've been doing that for the last 10 years here in the Vancouver community channel. I can't help it but stare at it in either.. it's hypnotic
2002-12-28 01:56:42 PM
I watched it for two hours. I thought the ending would be
different than last year. What a gyp!
2002-12-28 02:10:03 PM
I got the DVD with the deleted scenes...like when they stoke the fire etc...
2002-12-28 02:13:09 PM
I still don't see what makes that obvious. Hell, I have never lived in a house with a fire place, but I haven't ever had the desire to buy a fake one, or watch one on TV.
2002-12-28 02:13:19 PM
I want to see the outtakes and bloopers.

Hmm.. weird filter on that one....
2002-12-28 05:50:30 PM
Well, the plot is better than that other show featuring flaming logs, Will and Grace.
2002-12-28 08:25:37 PM
It did look a little "digital" if I must say so myself
2002-12-28 09:22:05 PM
We now have a filter for "masturbate"?
2002-12-28 09:23:01 PM
Guess not...

just look at this pic instead:

The season wouldn't be the same without the yule log.
2002-12-29 12:23:21 AM
i'm a new yorker and i ALWAYS made fun anyone who watched the yule log. we thought it was an old folks thing-the music that goes with too).
come to think of it, watching FIREWORKS on tv is not much better ...
2002-12-29 01:25:54 AM
Not only is this lame, it reeks of white trash.
2002-12-29 02:18:58 AM
You people will watch anything.
2002-12-29 07:05:12 AM
Wasn't there a videotape of burning logs in a fireplacce once? I think it was for folks who had no fireplace or were too lazy to start a real fire. Pathetic either way.
