I've been saying this for quite some time now, I'm glad the idea is catching on. I'm no tinfoil hat conspiracy nut, but you absolutely have to believe that they're going to try and find some kind of edge in this debate.

The woman is a goddamn bonafide moron.

Wow, a mysogynist. How pathetic

True, but it was available.

Wanna put the nail in the coffin? Elect a Dem for pres.

The political parties aren't completely monolithic, so if a few members of either party disagree about a piece of legislation, it can very easily fail. And if Bush disagrees with the legislation, good luck mustering enough bipartisan support to override a presidential veto.

I've got a C-note that says that she farts loudly during the debate, and then afterwards the campaign says "See? She's just like normal folks."

2008-09-30 7:26:02 PM

Jster422: You know, not that I find this remotely likely, but I think the Obama/Biden campaign folks need to at least consider the possibility that Palin could come out and have a really good night.

I mean, clearly the bar has been set low, but if she comes out and actually speaks clearly and intelligently about the issues - it could wipe out all the 'campaign suspension' discussion, and pull McCain way back up in the polls.

Until McCain suspends his campaign again so he can go on a Depends run.

Watching one of these corporate political debates is like watching a discussion between Ronald McDonald and the Burger King as they debate the direction of modern cuisine and American nutritional guidelines.

Nothing is going to change in the world if I skip this one like usual. I have more important things to do, like practice with my band for an upcoming show.

larry00: I feel sorry for Biden, they didn't call her Barracuda because she is weak willed and a pushover. She will have a whole repertoire of zingers in the style of Ronald Reagan.
Have you heard what happened to Walter Mondale in the Presidential Debates of 1986.
RR responded on cue when Mondale said something about his age.
If my opponent will not use my age as an issue I will not use his youth and lack of experience against him .
This made Walter crack a smile and everyone laugh and afterwards Mondale said later he knew right then he'd lost the election.

The Baracuda has every book on Ronald Reagan and has tryed to be true to his conservative phylsophy which brought RR a landslide 48 state victory against Walter Mondale.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but even the left leaning media can't make up enough lies against her and McCain to make the people vote socialist.
The only way the left can win is to convense people they are what they are not.
We have a bunch of Idiots on both sides and this great country is being misled by them.
3/4 of DC should be tared and feathered and run out of town on a rail. Well that would have been the answer a long time ago.
Maybe they should reinstate dueling in DC.
That would be a form of Term Limits would it not.

Davy Crockett had to get out of DC because after they banned dueling the opposition kept trying to get him to accept a challange by a poor shot therefore getting him arrested and inprisioned and nolonger a threat.

7/10 the Davy Crocket was a bit to folksy.

I am amazed that Farkers are yet again underestimating the tactics of the republicans.

To be fair, by all accounts Biden should totally demolish Palin in the debate. But if he doesn't, a tie would actually be a Republican victory. If Palin can get through without making foolish or indecisive statements and not come across rattled that just might happen. I just can't see that happening though.

Even though the debate was changed and lowered the answer time down to 90 seconds, I can see 10 seconds of butchered talking points followed by 80 seconds of "deer in the headlights" from Palin. Awkward.

Biden doesn't need to crush Palin. He needs to focus on McCain. And force Palin to defend McCain's policies and stands. That's all.

Leave her out of it. Leave her experience off the table. Leave her alone. Concentrate on his only target, which is the top of the ticket.

Palin will get into trouble on her own, so all he has to do is concentrate on his job, which is to defend his candidate, and to tear at hers.
