I think subby was referring to this:

Of course, he probably knows she was talking about Palin's use of her baby as a political prop and not that she somehow gave him Down's syndrome in the womb (which is farking ludicrous), but you can't manufacture outrage or Fark headlines with that.

But yeah, the whole thing reads like this woman just wrote it to piss off any righties who may read it. It's flamebait, and damn effective flamebait.

But the general sentiment that Palin and the narrative the McCain campaign has weaved around her are using feminist rhetoric to promote both traditionally anti-feminist and chauvinist action is certainly accurate. And if the Obama campaign and/or their allies played their cards right in presenting this case to American women, it could be devastating to the McCain/Palin ticket.

Then again, the Obama camp don't seem to be able to craft a single sound byte these days that doesn't waffle or rely on words and phrases that have lost most of the meaning and the power they once had. It's frustrating as hell after they've run such a good campaign otherwise.

eastbaywatch: You can just hear the contempt in their voices coming from all those bad memories of their sad adolescence, never acknowledged by the cute girls in school, who always spoke nicely but never gave them the time of day, who always made them feel self-conscious about their politics and world-view, who showed them in probably the most memorable and striking way how unfair life can really be, who made them feel so small and insignificant, not by being mean, but simply being so much more attractive and sociable, and who ultimately put a pretty face on a world that just seems so unfair.
