The words "Fox" and News" are an oxymoron.

Everyone's hobby should be screaming at FoxNews reporters.

You can really feel the love from this guy. I wonder what it's like taking a class taught by Ed Anger?

I can't stand that guy, but I support the noble endeavour of screaming at Fox News reporters.

Would this be the same asshat reporter who asserted that if a liberal demonstrator didn't want to speak with him, that they must not believe in freedom of speech?

2008-08-25 11:46:42 AM
Actually, submitter, I had just managed to forget about him. But I guess it's a convenient time to look tough by taking on the low-hanging fruit, and someone needs to trot him out, right?

2008-08-25 11:48:31 AM
Screaming at Fox News reporters should be encouraged.

It should even be an Olympic event.

He thinks that the media create news in order to bump up the ratings.

Media did 9/11? I don't think so.

Dunno, if I was Mr. Churchill, I'd take advantage of any camera, even Fox News, and try to reclaim my reputation as an academic by using sound and rational arguements instead of screaming at them. But hey, free country, so act like an asshat on camera all you like, Mr. Churchill.

What? Are we supposed to feel sorry for FOX?

The universe bares no cognitive dissonance with insidious igits and News networks for insidious igits hating each other.

Maybe. Chruchill is an ass and by simply attaching his name to a cause, by civil discourse or screaming, he hurts it. But I really don't think Fox News viewers are the type to be moved by rational discussion anyway. And even if they are, Fox has a history of using its graphics dept. and host to beat them over the head with the GOP side of the argument.

I'm no fan of Ward, but Griff Jenkins (what a horrible name, btw), is an idiot, and I do not feel sorry for him. Walking the opposite direction during a march while claiming to get roughed up = douchebaggery at its finest.

the article is about the douchebag fox reporter that was screaming his head off about freedom of speech from the earlier video. that's all you need to know.

I love the phrase "Little Eichmanns".

Personally though, I always thought it was an imprecise metaphor.

Eichmann knew what he was doing was wrong, yet he was essentially trapped in his role. The 9/11 victims, while a case can be made that they too were trapped in their roles as machinery of oppressive policies, were for the most part innocent of wrongdoing, as a whole.

Most Americans have little idea of what goes on in the world beyond them and it never really occurs to them that they live as well as they do at the expense of others. Nor do most realize the more dastardly machinations carried out in their name by their government.

That is why I fundamentally reject the "Little Eichmann" arguments. Use it against soldiers at Gitmo or Abu Graib or Falluja. These are people who know they do wrong, yet have no choice because they are soldiers and a soldier is programmed to obey.

I don't think I'd go quite that far.

I would sentence him to the same fate I would sentence most dhimmis to:

Having to go live among fundamentalist Muslims and explain to them how awesome liberal democracy and free speech are. I predict death by stoning within a week.

Add in the fact that he's Griff with Fox News, and it sounds like an Onion headline waiting to happen.
