I don't remember 2006 but it has been seen and cannot be unseen.

Nah -- It'll be a friendly, furry version of King Richard I (aka Hizzoner, da Mare) Pictured below in 1968, w/ his son King Richard II (aka Richard M Daley)

Izzy was... horrid. All I could think of was the thing from Kablooey. (Those of you with Commodore 64s would know it as Bombuzal.)

The mascots are supposed to appeal to kids. Why do adults give a shiat about them?

FTFA:

"It was very effective for kids, we got a lot of interesting flak from adults."

Seriously, why is there an uproar everytime the new Olympic mascots are announced? It's not for you!
