Most people I know are considerably more dense than 63.4 pounds per cubic foot.

And just thinking of that statistic, I picture a little 1-cubic-foot square of miscellaneous human tissue. Let's weigh it!

quicksand is really scary, seeing as there have been a whole 0 deaths reported due to it. quicksand and people who make threats over the internet at people they are never going to meet top my list of things to fear

FRKBOY: If you have trouble getting off a beach, you have other problems.

I have the book they mention. They say to look for a piece of wood and flop over it, then move slowly to shore. They advise having a walking stick with you whenever you're in quicksand country.
