I haven't spoken publicly 'til now as to who I would vote for, primarily for two reasons: 1) Who cares?; and 2) I (and most people I know) don't give a rat's ass whose name is on the ballot in November, as long as there's a picture of JFK and FDR riding a donkey at the top of the ballot, and the word "Democratic" next to the candidate's name.

Seriously, I know so many people who don't care if the name under the Big "D" is Dancer, Prancer, Clinton or Blitzen. It can be Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Barry Obama or the Dalai Lama.

I'd have thought he was more intelligent than that. Blind partisanship is a crutch for the mentally infeebled. If all you care about when you go into the booth is whether you are voting for the donkey or the elephant, you are part of the problem, not the solution.

Hate him for being an ego-maniacal gas bag.

Say what you like about Moore, but this is some of the most honest writing i've seen in a while. Wonder what his Fark handle is?

I'm almost at the point where I don't care if the Democrats don't have a backbone or a kneebone or a thought in their dizzy little heads. Just as long as their name ain't "Bush" and the word "Republican" is not beside theirs on the ballot, then that's good enough for me.

I, like the majority of Americans, have been pummeled senseless for 8 long years. That's why I will join millions of citizens and stagger into the voting booth come November, like a boxer in the 12th round, all bloodied and bruised with one eye swollen shut, looking for the only thing that matters -- that big "D" on the ballot.

Don't get me wrong. I lost my rose-colored glasses a long time ago.

It's foolish to see the Democrats as anything but a nicer version of a party that exists to do the bidding of the corporate elite in this country. Any endorsement of a Democrat must be done with this acknowledgement and a hope that one day we will have a party that'll represent the people first, and laws that allow that party an equal voice.

On the plus side, he has an excellent first name.

His vote doens't count becuase he's a Democrat in Michigan.

Oh wait I get it he's fat, sort of. Har har har. At least he's not stupid and emotionally stuck in the 3rd grade like subby.

Finally, I want to say a word about the basic decency I have seen in Mr. Obama. Mrs. Clinton continues to throw the Rev. Wright up in his face as part of her mission to keep stoking the fears of White America. Every time she does this I shout at the TV, "Say it, Obama! Say that when she and her husband were having marital difficulties regarding Monica Lewinsky, who did she and Bill bring to the White House for 'spiritual counseling?' THE REVEREND JEREMIAH WRIGHT!"

But no, Obama won't throw that at her. It wouldn't be right. It wouldn't be decent. She's been through enough hurt. And so he remains silent and takes the mud she throws in his face.

Bears repeating for emphasis.

Yes, he was invited to the prayer breakfast where clinton made his mea culpa. This disingenuous attempt to paint jeremiah wright as some fringe maniac is absurd. He's been in the mainstream for many, many years doing good works for his community and the caricature you see of him in those 30 second clips is unfair and ridiculous.

Wright was invited to a White House prayer breakfast after Lewinski, he was one of many pastors who were invited so it wasn't like they were asking him specifically for help. All the same, a White House spokesmen called the pastors a part of a "core group of religious leaders."

Why didn't it get more media attention? Maybe because the Pro-Obama media is complete myth. Why did ABC ask Obama about his connection to Ayers and not Hillary about the Clinton pardons of the Weather Underground folks? Why did Obama have to point it out?

He's 100% right about Obama running from the position of decency. He hasn't gone into the "why'd you invite Rev. Wright to the White House", slamming the Clinton years, Bosnia, Whitewater, Pardons, or any of a hundred other things. The faint praise of McCain is in the same vein. I'm not sure if it's because he's been ahead every single day since Iowa, or his inherent character. But, it plays well. Anecdotally, I've heard from several people with 70 and 80 something grandparents, who've decided for Obama over Clinton on the basis of politeness. Believe it or not, my wife's grandparents in Minnesota voted for Jesse Ventura, primarily because he was more polite than the other two candidates. This is particularly true in Iowa. That's why he won there in the caucuses. And why he leads McCain there by 10 points, while Clinton is tipped to lose.

The only point I disagree with is the talk of Sebelius in 2016. I hope she gets the VP nod, but I'd be surprised if she runs as a 68 year old in 2016.

No, I read what he said, but if I straight-ticket voted here, I'd be voting for people like Bill Jefferson, or on the other hand, David Vitter. Extreme example, but just blindly voting for one ticket or the other is foolish. I can't think of any time in my life where I just went in and hit the "R" or the "D" button and just left it at that.

Couldn't agree more. Voting based on blind loyalty to a particular party regardless of who their nominee is is no more intelligent than picking a name at random.

Democracy is about voting for people or ideas, not symbols or slogans. Moore, and people like him, are not interested in improving the country, they're interested in "winning" as if this is the true end-goal of any election.

It is true that Jeremiah Wright was asked to come to the White House during Bill Clinton's Presidency, at the time that he was going through the whole Lewinsky thing.

It's not like it does any good. Obama mentioned that pardon (a very valid point). Charlie Gibson turned to Clinton and said, "Well, you could answer that, or we could go to a commercial", and Clinton said, "how 'bout we take that commercial break". Never came back to it.

Would it matter? All most as many people pass though the White House as Grand Central Station. I see the difference between someone meeting someone for a couple of hours once, and someone have a close friendship over 20 years. Do you?

He's not hurting him either. I think it's a pretty good bet that those who vilify Moore were not going to vote Dem anyway.

He makes some good points in the article, but he is not saying anything new or revolutionary that is going to sway people either way.
