Fark China. They can go eat shiatty beef at City Wok.

"We solemnly request that CNN, and Cafferty himself, take back the malicious remarks and apologize to the Chinese people," Jiang said at a news briefing.

When did the Chinese people start getting CNN?

Even a broken clock is right twice a day

China or Pelosi?

BTW, what did she say?

2008-04-15 5:24:05 PM
Pelosi is not her name... it's the gutteral, horrified sound her mother made when that creature was first extracted from her womb.

IT'S ALIVE!

FTFA: "We solemnly request that CNN, and Cafferty himself, take back the malicious remarks and apologize to the Chinese people,"

Uhh, yeah...what Jack Cafferty thinks of your country is the least of your country's problems right now.

/next you'll demand that Locke3k take back his slanderous suggestion that your country has much bigger problems it should be dealing with...

I'm with the Chinamen on this one, although the word I would have used is "vile" or "harpy".

Dude, "Chinaman" is not the preferred nomenclature.

Walter, he peed on my rug!

2008-04-15 6:20:04 PM
The word they're looking for is Spineless.

And a BROKEN clock? No. A completely stopped clock, sure. A clock that is broken in the sense of "one spindle bent so it runs just a hair slow" isn't generally right even once a day.

2008-04-15 6:33:31 PM
Wait, so CNN insults China and China fires back by insulting the Speaker of the House? That doesn't make sense.

2008-04-15 6:36:24 PM
Dude, "Chinaman" is not the preferred nomenclature.

Right, dude, it's "Chicomms".

This is a weird case where they're both right...they are vile, repressive thugs and she's, well, disgusting.

Nestea Plunge: Fark China. They can go eat shiatty beef at City Wok.

There is actually a Chinese restaurant near where I live that recently changed its name to "City Buffet".

2008-04-15 8:20:39 PM
Inept maybe, but disgusting? That's taking it a bit too far there, China.

2008-04-15 8:20:41 PM
It's funny when our enemies are correct.

2008-04-15 8:20:46 PM
I didn't read the article, just the title. I saw the word "China" and figured if it's not about Chinese people dying then I don't care. I hate Chinks.

2008-04-15 8:21:17 PM
Well, there you have it. All you whiny biatches who don't like Nancy Pelosi because she makes Conservatrons wet their coveralls, look beside you. There's the Chinese Communist Party.

Judging you by the company you keep ain't fair, but we do it anyway. Sucks to be you.

"I'm with the Chinamen on this one, although the word I would have used is "vile" or "harpy"."

Or indian giver and a two faced liar works just as well. A new day with the Democrats running Congress, my ass. A year and a half gone by, and they couldn't even do the one thing that was expected of them; begin a definite withdrawal (however a small amount of troops) from Iraq.

2008-04-15 8:21:54 PM
Earlier this week, the state Xinhua news agency called House Speaker Nancy Pelosi "disgusting." And on Tuesday, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu lambasted a CNN commentator, Jack Cafferty, for his "vicious" commentary on China.

Pelosi and Cafferty eh?.....

/a good start

along with mounting criticism of China's handling of domestic unrest by Tibetans, have embittered many Chinese.

lets hope they dont cling to their guns and antipathy to express their bitterness

Is it just me or does it seem that China is trying harder and harder (no pun intended) to compensate for a certain lack of something? Every time I look, I either see a story about how China is building the biggest that or having the most luxurious something. The rest of the stories are about China demanding people stop pointing out that they are compensating for that certain something...

Even a broken clock is right twice a day

The point of a clock is to keep time, not just tell time. With a stopped clock, the position of the hands says nothing about the actual time, so a broken clock is actually never right.

"A year and a half gone by, and they couldn't even do the one thing that was expected of them; begin a definite withdrawal"

Yeah, it turns out that Bush is still the President. If you'll read the copy of the constitution that's in the pocket of the seat in front of you, you'll see that the President is the Commander in Chief of the armed forces.

We're about to elect a Democrat as president. We'll see what happens then. If there's still no drawdown, I'll be right there with you complaining.

I'm interested in seeing what the actual press release said literally. Was it in English or was it a Chinese word that was translated as "disgusting?"

2008-04-15 8:32:48 PM
Chinese Internet sites are replete with their own mounting calls for boycotts of foreign goods, souring the mood as the nation prepares to host its biggest international event ever.

They buy foreign goods? I thought they just bought one, and then cloned the rest.

Interesting (read: sad) that we don't stick up for Pelosi in the face of Xinhua, regardless of our own ideological opinions.

2008-04-15 8:35:37 PM
When did she start selling the organs of people who belonged to a religion of she did not like?

China has no room to call anyone disgusting.

Interesting, Pelosi has the largest Chinese constituency in the US. Just saying.

BTW, she is disgusting. More so than most congress critters.

Just saying.

SmitetheRighteous: I'm interested in seeing what the actual press release said literally. Was it in English or was it a Chinese word that was translated as "disgusting?"

I think the actual term they used translates literally to "Smells of Dead Moose" but Reuters, being lazy bastards, just switched it out with a quick equivalent.

Ahh, learning about how American talking heads can say whatever they want is tough for the Chinese isn't it. Don't worry, free speech takes a while to get used to.

I can't believe I'm gonna respond to this. But I am, and you're wrong.

A stopped clock is right twice a day. Doesn't mean it's functioning correctly, but it's right twice a day. You could change it to, "a stopped clock is never working correctly", but it loses a certain something.

How would you know the point of a clock? Did all clockmakers have an international meeting to reach a consensus and publish a declaration? Or did your clock tell you that while you were sleeping using a dream?

If I look at a clock at some moment in time and it shows me the right time, I don't give a shiat whether it is stopped or not.
