I'm glad he beat the rap. We got a good look at the character of Scott Barbour while he was in Panama City; he's a good man. Both him and his company (Mantra) were forced to do a lot of community service hours in town; they could have tried to get out of it as quickly and as cheaply as possible. Instead, Mr. Barbour decided to actually be an asset and asked for a task. Scott Barbour brought his people in from California, at his own expense, and spent over $25,000 fixing up the local humane society kennels, which had fallen into disrepair due to bad local management (and cronyism in choosing the previous director).

It was a dirty job, cleaning and painting and doing minor repairs; and it was done well, with extra attention paid to doing the job correctly, regardless of expense. If they had contracted the job out it could not have been done better, and would have probably had corners cut and not been done so well.

When you think of "Girls gone Wild", one thinks of Joe Francis, a world class sleaze artist. But I doubt that Francis would be as successful without the advanced managerial talents of Mr. Barbour.
