My first thought was that he had pimped out Air Force 2 with some really impressive entertainment system.

Any one else start to smile when you read "Cheney's plane blows..", only to be let down by the ending of the headline?

Makh: My first thought was that he had pimped out Air Force 2 with some really impressive entertainment system.

That's what I was expecting. This was way better though.

My first thought was that some news copter was flying too closely and Cheney's plane blew them away with a missile or something. In hindsight, I have no idea why I thought that could have remotely happened.

I love watching the media get the occasional smackdown.

My instinct is to hate Cheney, but they put a platform on the runway next to the jet and stood on it? I wish the pilot had accidentally been a bit heavy handed.

That was such... a let down

the media WAS TOLD that that would happen...and they still stood there. I am now reconsidering my choice to major in Journalism and Mass Communication.

I wish celebs could get away with doing that to popparatzi.

"My car is going to go that direction, you are in the way." *vroom...THUMP*

I thought from the Suby's comment that maybe Cheney had done some sort of air to ground attack with kewl munitions...but no such luck.

Was expecting to see them blown off the deck, a la Pushing Tin.

1987, Bush 41 came to town. We had an avail; we asked about Iran/Contra, which is when the 60hz buzz in the mult-box began. He refused a do-over. Upon departure, the network asked me to go to the gate, to watch him leave. He got on the plane, waved at the cameraman and I. The plane turned 180 degrees, and the pilot ran the engines up to full military power. I imagine there were a few laughs inside AirForce 1, about those filthy liberal media types.
Ha. Showed me.
