Are we sure these aren't Serbian mortars from the hills? Maybe some unit wasn't told the war ended last century?

No?

Well then, we're gonna need to invade Klendathu!

Ya know, I'm not even gonna call him crazy. 5 times?

Maybe......

Let's kill him just to be sure. Seen too many sci-fi movies to know that's our best option.

5 times since last November..... five separate strikes by meteors in six months?

No. There is just no way. Someone is faking this somehow.

I'd believe this shiat if meteorites weren't available on Ebay.

That's my first impression as well.

Would it even be possible for a magnetic field or something of the like in the area to cause this to happen? 5 times is a lot, especially considering the short time span.

They told him this would happen. Now he's probably wishing he had hitched a ride on the comet with the rest of the cult.

Have the aliens sexually abused him?

Meteorites? Not likely.. unless frozen chunks of human waste managed to survive re-entry. The cause is more likely shiat from passing airliners than meteorites.

Bullllllshiat report from a foriegn "country".

Yeah, right, comrade.

/either that, or the guy is a meteor god, obviously.

You know, most of these alien conspiracy guys really are whack jobs, but in this guy's case, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. 5 meteor strikes in 6 months? that is just bizarre.

Maybe the aliens aren't mad at him, they just want to mess with him?

2008-04-10 8:43:02 AM
I'm wondering how he didn't conclude that Allah was out to get him?

That's nothing. I was attacked by Grover Cleveland on two non-consecutive occasions.

Likely that his house was hit once by a single meteorite that broke up shortly before, or shortly after, and he was savvy enough to realise that he could get more attention by repeat performances.

2008-04-10 8:44:15 AM
Prolly some punkass 13-year old aliens throwing rocks at his house. He prolly yelled at them to get off his lawn or something.

Punkass aliens.

Are you mad!!?? He's obviously the only hope for mankind if they're targeting him! Someone get him in the Starfighter program pronto!

perhaps someone should remove the bullseye cross from his roof???

from the article: "I am obviously being targeted by extraterrestrials. I don't know what I have done to annoy them but there is no other explanation that makes sense."

I say the atmosphere above your house has a big hole in it that lets space debris in.
It doesn't make sense
Well, it makes more sense than extraterrestrial terrorists.

2008-04-10 8:54:02 AM
The guy is the target of some pranksters. The fact that it only happens during a heavy rains storm is too much of a coincidence on top of the shiats coincidence. A neighbor with meteorite pieces, or one big one and a hammer, throws these at the house during a heavy rain, the rain keeps people from seeing him.

For the homeowner to be making this up, adding the idea that it only happens in a heavy rain fall would be pointless AND it makes the story less plausible.

Isn't this a statistical impossibility?

Here in Houlton, ME, we've got a guy who lives on top of a hill who thinks he's been "visited." He's got a ton of carved statues outside his house of aliens. And a lot of other shiat, to boot.

The guy's certifiable. I've met him maybe once. He also has a brazillion cats around the place, and a yard full of OTHER junk.

Here's a picture of it.

Okay, it's not a picture. I tried to GIS it, but I failed. Apparently, Google doesn't understand Boolean logic (or using + to indicate it's a REQUIRED search feature). I guess I'll actually have to DRIVE to Wally World, BUY a digital camera, TAKE the picture myself, and then post it.

Why does Google Image Search suck so badly??

I'd just like to point out the article in the sidebar about Lindsey Lohan doing a full frontal nudity scene in a role as a nymphomaniac.

This is the place on Drake's Hill with all the UFO crap in it.

As far as I know, though, no meteorite strikes...

Houlton. What a wonderful town.

There are no statistical impossibilities; only improbabilities.

What's the area of his roof?
What's the surface area of the earth?
How many times is the earth hit by meteorites in a period of time?
How much time will you give the meteorites to strike those five times?

nitefallz: Isn't this a statistical impossibility?

Nope, it's a statistical "hahaha, you gotta be shiatting me, this is a once in the life time of a few universes event."

Someone's lying or being pranked.

xanadian: Apparently, Google doesn't understand Boolean logic (or using + to indicate it's a REQUIRED search feature).

Er, it does do these things.

Click on the very first picture that shows up for a search of "houlton alien" (no quotes). Then on the page it brings you to, scroll down. Lotsa pictures of what you describe.

FTFA The chance of being hit by a meteorite is so small that getting hit five times has to be deliberate."

Well I have to agree about the deliberate part - the part about it being aliens is what I'm having trouble with. Agree with Spitzer that hes probably got some neighbors with a interesting sense of humor.

If meteorites have a high content of iron, then I wonder if this guy has any strong magnetic fields near his house.

A magnet strong enough to alter the trajectory of a meteorite would probably be rather noticeable, what with all the iron and steel objects from miles away that would get dragged to it.

Not finding "Gornja Lamovite" Bosnia on GOOGLE MAPS. I was going to check this guy's village proximity to castles and likely catapult locations.
GOOGLE asks, "Did you mean:"

Gornja Praca, Bosnia and Herzegovina
Gornja Grkarica, Bosnia and Herzegovina
Gornja Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina
Gornja Gracanica, Bosnia and Herzegovina
Gornja Cadjavica, Bosnia and Herzegovina
Gornja Orahovica, Bosnia and Herzegovina
