Yeah, and they'll pull his ass for every little traffic infraction.

UNC_Samurai: Yeah, and they'll pull his ass for every little traffic infraction.

Well, he'd still have to COMMIT an infraction. Besides, he probably realizes he'll attract such attention and has decided he wants to do it anyway. What's your point?

I can see the point to the "What if people try and get help from him" argument, but if it's legal, it's legal. As long as he stays in the rules, I say let him have his fun.

I'd rather have a thousand guys like that in my city than a thousand 20-something Ricer fags with 1000-Watt stereos and thrush pipes everywhere I go.

2008-03-12 7:37:35 PM
oooo I wonder if he has the deception symbols on it. To punish and to destroy! Woot!

2008-03-12 7:37:37 PM
Instead of the familiar slogan "To protect and serve," it carries a motto: "To punish and enslave" on the side.

Priceless.

this guy is pretty kewl, thats something a ceral rapist killer thing would do tho, like pretend to stop u, in a deserted area, and then jst go *avada kerdavera* on ur ass

UNC_Samurai: Yeah, and they'll pull his ass for every little traffic infraction.

From TFA it seems the police are ok with it.

Seems fine to me.... Pretty cool actually. I liked the movie.

2008-03-12 7:38:48 PM
Of course then everyone around him is going to flip, and slow down.

Good times.

2008-03-12 7:39:11 PM
If I was gonna make a fake cop car it would be Mad Max interceptor.

Rynnakat: oooo I wonder if he has the deception symbols on it. To punish and to destroy! Woot!

I hope so. I've always wanted the decepticon cruiser.

2008-03-12 7:39:42 PM
Some guy around here (he owns a gas station and is apparently terrified of being robbed) bought an old city police cruiser and dolled it up to look like a city cop car. He put the graphics back on the side, installed the light bar, and even put "City of St. Charles" on it. The city council made laws banning that sort of thing specifically because of him.

I'd think if he were that worried about robbery, running a convenience store with a "victim disarmament zone" sign is exactly the wrong line of work.

UNC_Samurai: Yeah, and they'll pull his ass for every little traffic infraction.

Hawt.

2008-03-12 7:41:02 PM
Yeah... As long as you don't break the law, anything you wanna do is OK in my book...

2008-03-12 7:41:06 PM
Very Hamsexy....

2008-03-12 7:41:14 PM
That's pretty damn cool. I'd park somewhere highly visible once in awhile, facing a busy street, and watch how many people slow down abruptly. Would be a nice way to spend a lunch hour.

2008-03-12 7:41:19 PM
Fix the lighter...

A close look shows Vigil's car isn't a police cruiser. Instead of the familiar slogan "To protect and serve," it carries a motto: "To punish and enslave" on the side. Instead of telling people to dial 911 for emergencies, the Mustang advises them to "dial 411 for theater information."

That's awesome.

2008-03-12 7:41:28 PM
Maybe the guy should paint his HOUSE. It looks like it has not been painted since 1977.

2008-03-12 7:42:11 PM
Hmm...I guess as long as he doesn't try to pull any police-like activities, then he wouldn't be arrested for impersonating an officer.

2008-03-12 7:42:30 PM
What a douche. It's annoying enough when you see a car that's the same make and model as a police cruiser because when you see them in the distance, you can't really tell the difference and have to slow down, put your seatbelt on, stash the beer and weed, etc.

This just makes it that much more confusing. And I don't need anybody wrecking my buzz if it's not really a cop.

2008-03-12 7:43:47 PM
FTFA
what he's done with his car isn't illegal as long as he doesn't act like a police officer.

So does it means he has to stay off donuts while driving?

Aww, that's so cute.

phlegmmo: Priceless.

Yes, but not because this guy's being clever.

Rather, because if you look carefully during the movie, that's what's on the Decepticon police car.

How would one go about raping cereal, anyways? I mean, I kan kind of figure with, maybe, Froot-loops or Cheerios, but you'd have to be hung like a mouse. And why would cereal be driving, anyways? Maybe the mascot? I don't know, none of the mascots seem very hittable.

is driving past high school parties acting like a police officer?

only a matter of time before the temptation of acting like a cop to the next a-hole that cuts him off is too much for him, we'll see this guy again

2008-03-12 7:58:21 PM
I've always had a fondness for beefy cars painted like squad cars. I think the Dodge Chargers in black and white is sexy.

Kudos to the guy for pulling off a good replica of the movie car. If he could get Saleen to do some motor work, even more kudos.

I hate the ricer cars too, but having more cars like this on the road would get old really quick.

Why?

Because I would slow down every farking time I saw one of them. Shiat....it's bad enough when I think I see a cop car, and it ends up being one of those security companies that patrol neighborhoods.

On a side note:

My friend's pickup truck has a black & white paint job, and we all nicknamed it "the cop car".

I always thought that was illegal. It should be illegal as there's too much room for abuse (google 'red light bandit').

I guess if the goal is to be noticed, that's a good way to do it but not all attention is positive.

2008-03-12 8:04:52 PM
What about the fact that he did this for his stupid KID? As compensation for being a crappy dad. That's just asinine.

The whole thing it stupid, pretending to be a cop. Just retarded. But I have to admit that the "to punish and enslave" is hiLARious.

2008-03-12 8:05:58 PM
so a guys makes one spelling error...big deal.

hahah hermione is one hot witch

Heh. I approve. But then I used to work with a guy who had a decommissioned unmarked cop car (complete with spotlight still, but no persuit paint or "Police" on the side). This is only priceless because he looks like a jarhead, and would get wove through tollbooths and get mistaken for a cop by other cops. A cop actually pulled him over once to ask if he "was working tonight." *shrug*

I also like the "To Punish and Enslave" thing. In fact, I put it on a doll shirt for kicks and grins.

There's a guy in London who has an ambulance and a paramedic motorbike. He drives around, uses the blues and twos, and if he hears of an accident on the radio will attend, but as long as he doesn't actually try and treat anyone the Police can't do anything.

DNRTFA, but if the lights are not operational and he doesn't actually pose as a police officer, then everything is kosher.

DUDE. This is Vegas. Committing a crime is not a pre-requisite to getting pulled over, arrested, tried, or convicted.

Everyone should do this so every car on the road looks like a cop car. Then the pigs wouldn't know who to pull over.

Ulibarri said a state law prevents people from mimicking state police cars, which are painted black and white. But he also said the state police sell their old cars to private citizens without changing the colors.

"Are we violating our own law by not repainting them?" he asked.

Uh, it sure sounds like it, Officer Itsnotillegalwhenwedoit.
