That teacher is a major coont, and has no business being in a classroom--especially a classroom full of 5-year-olds.

Why do people that hate kids become teachers?

2008-02-27 3:38:29 PM
According to most of the kid hating posters on Fark the teacher is right. So, I don't expect any righteous indignation.

So...the story says the teacher's lawyer claims it was an "abberation" caused by "medicine" the teacher was taking as a result of a recent hospital visit.

I didn't know biatchameaphin was over the counter now.

Of course Momma's gonna help build a wall.

I think it's more like they become teachers, and then grow to hate children.

I'm not one for coddling everybody's "precious snowflakes," but this cow sounds off the hook. Even if there is one or two troublemakers in the class, there is no excuse for the teacher taking it out on the whole class.

Let her work for a few days in Tech Support... She'll be glad to go back to those "Stupid Kids" after about a week!

R.A.Danny: Why do people that hate kids become teachers?

I really don't know. Most of our teachers were excellent, but there were a handful who were completely disinterested in teaching, they gave the impression of being forced to teach.

School administrators, on the other hand, hate kids. They are gelatinous, green monsters who feed on slugs and dead kids.

2008-02-27 4:15:47 PM
Kids are stupid. That's why they're in school.

2008-02-27 4:20:17 PM
I have considered doing the same thing. There have been several days where my son has been upset because his teacher yelled at him and hit him on the head with a book. And she admits that she has often yelled at the students.

This is a second grade teacher.

Ironically, she has told the students about a teacher she hated when she was in school because the teacher yelled at the students when they got an answer wrong.

2008-02-27 4:20:41 PM
If her behavior "that day" was an aberration, as her attorney claims, then the parents wouldn't have had cause to bug the kids backback.

Pffft! My kindergarten teacher was like John McCloughlin.

"Dio, what shape is this?"

"Um, er, dodecahedron?"

"Wrong! Timmy?"

lol... all I know is that it really sucks to hear your child say "I'm so stupid. I can't do anything right." because the teacher has been disparaging all day.

They should have to wait until corporate life to be yelled at all day by a loudmouthed idiot.

2008-02-27 4:27:50 PM
In my daughter's classroom this past year, the teacher threw (halfway across the room) a heavy textbook at a student. It didn't go very well for that teacher...

I'm so sick of hearing about teachers who talk about their own lives in class. STOP IT. Who cares if you had a bad teacher? Who cares if your boyfriend has moved to South Carolina?

I mean, srsly.

I don't envy parents today. You want to help your kid get out of that bad situation, but I would imagine you worry about interfering too much. If you can't get him out of that class for whatever reasons, the best you can do is coach and encourage him. Don't let this experience set the tone for the rest of his education.

I had a teacher in middle school grab me by the collar and shake me like a British nanny for mouthing off in class. I told my father expecting justice to be done. He suggested that I stop acting like an asshole at school. He was right. And it worked. I don't think parents or teachers could get away with this anymore. That's too bad. Simple problem, [SMACK], simple answer.

We had an art class substitute backhand a kid in class in 6th grade. Of course, it was because when she was trying to call the office on the 'hotline' phone, the kid had cut the handset cord with ducky scissors.

The biggest effect of all this will be checking every kid's bag for recording devices.

Surveillance is only ok when the government does it. Just ask anyone who got a beatdown for photographing/taping a cop doing something wrong.

Heh - don't make me laugh when I gotta pee, dude. A tard did kick the shiat out of one of my buddies, though. That was pretty funny...mostly because it didn't happen to me. And 17 years later, it's still pretty funny. I can't wait until his son is old enough to appreciate that story...because I will be telling it to him. He is my friend, after all.

Because the teachers who love kids are called pedophiles (pedo-child, phile-love) and they are all in prison.

What's the big deal? When I was in third grade, my future-fourth grade teacher slammed me against a chain link fence because I called her a "biatch" when she broke up a fight I was involved in. I deserved it, and my parents would have never even dreame of suing or complaining. Actually, "introductions" notwithstanding, she became one of my favorite teachers at St. Mary's.

To be fair, the vast majority of people are stupid. So, unless the class is really unusual, chances are that most of kids in the class are stupid.

My sister had a teacher like that. If you didn't grasp a concept right away, the teacher went all red in the face, had a tantrum, and told the child they were stupid, useless, retarded, etc. Kids from that woman's class were traumatized for years. My sister would come home in tears and wouldn't even try to do her work because the teacher said she was stupid and she would never be any good. This was 2nd grade. It was years before my sister would work up the courage to hand in a report without having several people proof read it to death.

I was an upper-elementary teacher for two years. My principal pulled me into her office and asked if I'd be interested in taking a 2nd grade class because the tenured old biatch in there called the kids "stupid" to their faces.

One of our special ed. teachers was also so bad (and tenured) that we purposefully didn't refer kids so they wouldn't get her. In other words, the Least Restrictive Environment for those kids was to remain in our room and fall through the cracks.

Tenure is teh suck.

/No need for tenure if you make yourself indi
spensable, eh?
//Hate to say it, but public education, necessary though it is, is also teh suck in many cases

I really like the idea of wiring classrooms for video and sound and taping the whole damn thing. Protects the teachers and the students..... no bullying from the teachers and no sexual harassment lawsuits from the kids. Seems like a win-win situation to me.

R.A.Danny: Why do people that hate kids become teachers?

Three reasons:

1) June
2) July
3) August

Plus good pay for part time work and the opportunity to bully children who can't fight back.

I don't understand the problem here. These snowflakes were out of line. Teacher was telling it like it is.

I guess their "self-esteem" is more important than any kind of discipline in the classroom.

Don't be surprised when these kids grow up to be whiny self-entitled Milennial brats.

I had one of these kid-haters as my first-grade teacher. I'm extremely grateful to her 'cause I've been able to blame on her the fact that I've been an utter farkoff ever since.

Yep, that's the way it used to be done. In 5th grade my teacher grabbed my hair and violently shook my head because I didn't do my math homework. I would have told my mom, but there was no way in hell I wanted to tell her I didn't do my homework. So from then on I decided to start doing it.
