Just over a year ago, the Cyber Nations alliance Farkistan sent out a call for help in the war against the evil forces of the Goon Order Of Neutral Shoving.

Now, with that conflict little more than a memory, we again invite all Farkers to join us for the biggest toga party this side of Delta house!

Farkistan is almost entirely made up of Fark.com Liters and TFers, and we spend most of our time getting drunk, trading bacon recipes, and confusing the Hell out of the rest of Cyber Nations with Fark.com culture and cliches. Farkistan is currently the 16th strongest alliance in the game, and you can help us be better!

So, follow the link below and sign up today! We'll pair you up with a current member who will show you how to set up your nation and get started in the game. It's like having your own evil overlord!

What is it?
What is Cyber Nations?
CyberNations is currently the best online nation simulator game out there. It is somewhat like its predecessor NationStates, but is much better because it includes the added bonus of war, nation improvements, trade, alliances, and choosing how to react to various events and catastrophes. It can take as little as five minutes to hours of your day, if you let it.

Basically, you are the ruler of a nation and you decide how to build it, how to defend it, and how much to oppress your peasants!

Why should I join Farkistan?

Alliances offer advice, defense, aid, and well, if you're not in one the game gets boring fast. Its cool for a while being independent and maybe going rogue (attacking nations at random) once or twice, but eventually you get bored. There is a constantly changing international struggle for political and military power in the game, and in an alliance you are directly involved. You can be in government, the military, part of the diplomatic corps, be a banker, etc. And why be in an alliance of people who aren't Farkers when there is one full of em?

What Do I Need to Do?

1. Go here to join Farkistan
2. ???
3. Profit!

Glory to Fark.

Seriously, it's great fun, and your fellow Farkers are a great bunch of people to waste time with when you should be working instead.

Come and join us, we have Beer :D

I am a Farkistani so I am really getting a kick out of these replies.

Srsly, CN is a blast when played with a great bunch of Farkers

We, the Farkistan Army, stand ready.

Is this some kind of first-person shooting game? I always get killed by a dwarf or robot in those damn things.

oldfarthenry: Is this some kind of first-person shooting game? I always get killed by a dwarf or robot in those damn things.

Nope, just a browser based nation building simulator.

Really, the alliance is more fun that the game itself for most of us.

I'm not nationalistic enough to join (or care). Motivate me, imperialist dogs...

2008-02-19 10:08:31 AM
I think I'll look this up after work tonight.

2008-02-19 10:08:36 AM
I don't understand. Is it just some big chat room where you all sit around and talk about being in a nation together?

2008-02-19 10:10:11 AM
While the 'game' part of this can be fun at times, the real fun happens in the forums. If you like the Fark community, you'll love Farkistan. Come on in and check it out!

Pocket Ninja: I don't understand. Is it just some big chat room where you all sit around and talk about being in a nation together?

No, there is an actual game involved, but the links go to the Farkistan alliance forums where you can get all the information you need and help in setting up your nation and watching it grow in glory.

Maybe but I'm not going to sign up and start anything new on the company dime I have a feeling my first few times online will take a lot of time.

There are two parts to this game...the nation building side and the alliance side. You have wars, diplomacy, the whole enchilada. So whether you like war games or nation building games, CyberNations can be fun. I think that's why so many of us are hooked on it. Also, we get drunk a lot and smack talk in irc, but that's optional.

Hail Farkistan!

Also big hail to NATO, Farkistan's bff on the Aqua team. I joined because of the greenlight last year, and my free time has never been the same. A simple, addictive community game with more drama than WoW or other games could dream of.

And there are even lolcat war declarations:

There's beer.

And bacon.

And still no cure for cancer.

Hoopdy is right, there really is something in it for everyone.

Want to just build your nation and tax the bejeesus out of your citizens so you can buy cool stuff like tanks, cruise missiles, and build a new football stadium? Go nuts!

Want to be in government and help run the alliance? Go right ahead!

Want to play politics and negotiate treaties and such with other alliances? We got that, too!

I found this game through Fark, though Im not a Farkistani. Thanks much fellas.

Are we going to have civil war again this time?

Previous incarnations of Farkistan have left me desiring more...

2008-02-19 10:26:23 AM
I played this ages ago, one of the first nations to sign up. I was in the NPO forever but got bored and quit.

It's all about oppressing the little guy.

They merged into a larger non-fark related alliance (I must say no true Fark alliance would ever do such a thing) which we just recently signed a benevolent treaty with.

If you're a member of an alliance (just as Farkistan), then you'll have 300 other nations to back you up.

/and, I might add, I highly trained an efficient dipomat corps

Uh...actually, no. Totalfarkistan merged with COLD and became The Phoenix Federation...now the 7th largest alliance on CN. So I'm still around and doing well. Sorry to disappoint you.

Oh, and welcome to last year...TPF and Farkistan kissed and made up on Greenlight Day last week and we signed a PIAT. I have a lot of respect for Cable77 and the rest of the Farkistani government. I wish them well.
