I thought this was going to be about that episode of Eli Stone that was based on the completely false premise that vaccines cause autism. That pissed me off to no end. Sure, go ahead and use a tragic ailment for your show, but don't freaking lie about it.

I worked with disabled kids for upwards of 6 years, and I always called them retards. Not to make fun of them, but because they were retarded.

/didn't do it on tv though

not any of the more minor ones, or variants of it, in the spectrum disorder type...etc.

I have minor Non-verbal Learning Disability (NLD) / Apsergers
so i'm getting a kick out of the replies.

I don't have any negative feelings to any disabled people, but I don't think that it's right to demand an apology or have the show cancelled. Reality TV is reality TV. People act terribly towards eachother. Black people get targeted, old people get targeted, fat people get targeted, little people get targeted and now disabled people. It was bound to happen. Nature of the beast. Get over it, please. :(

Cagey, don't confuse Autism activists with vaccine hysterists, they are not one and the same. I agree with you that the people who claim that vaccines cause autism are full of shiat, but those attempting to simply bring some light and acceptance to a serious disease are on a worthwhile cause.
